What did everyone think of the first season of Dollhouse? Are you excited that it got picked up for a second season?

I'll admit that personally, I wasn't drawn in at first. But then I thought back and remembered how hokey the first season of Buffy was, and decided to stick it out. I think that after about five episodes, Dollhouse really started to find a groove and things got really interesting from there.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, saw about half of the first episode and refused to watch any more of it. Might have to get him with the DVDs of it later.

Also, I'm a bit peeved that Dollhouse got what I call the "BSG treatment" on Hulu, meaning that they were only allowing access to the 5 most recent episodes. Why would you do that during the first season of a show? I mean, how are new viewers supposed to get caught up! (Well, the obvious answer is that they have to buy or rent the DVDs when they come out...)

A little tidbit of info: the reason that only the last 5 eps. of this show (and others) were put online has to do with the writers' strike. The ultimate agreement after the strike was that the studios would only have to pay the writers for streaming television if the episodes being shown were more than a month old. You see how that works? By only giving us the 5 latest episodes, they don't have to pay the writers any additional money.
