I admit it.......I stayed up and watched the Royal Wedding. :blush

Hadn't plan to but watched a documentary on Princess Diana's wedding. I remember watching it and thought how sad she is not here in person to see all of this. I had always admired her......so i thought I should watch her son get married.

Yea, I know it was easier for me because I am a night owl anyway who never sleeps. :giggle

My thoughts......

It was awesome seeing all the people out just wanting to catch a quick look at them or just to be with everyone else in Hyde park to celebrate their wedding.

Loved the dress. Thought it was simple elegance. She could of gone way more grand but I like that she didn't. The new Duchess of Cambridge looked very beautiful.

Prince William of course was very handsome. He is balding but I like how he doesn't try to hide it. No Donald Trump bad comb over. When you look at Prince William you see his Mom......I think it is the eyes. :heart

The yellow the Queen wore was a lot of yellow for my taste but some how it all worked. The Queen looked radiant. Don't know if Charles will ever will become King because Queen Elizabeth look like she could live on another 50 years. :yes

Prince William & Catherine were sweet with the kiss but love the little girl bridesmaid looking like she is getting a little grumpy and needs a nap. :giggle

The ceremony was beautiful. Loved the choir. Did feel like when the people were singing it was a little to long. I kept thinking.....oh no, not another verse. :giggle I thought the homily by Bishop of London Richard Chartres was great about how through marriage they could bring out the best in each other. To be who God meant for them to be and make a difference in the world.

Best part was when the Prince William & Catherine were leaving Buckingham Palace driving off in the Aston Martin convertible...just the 2 of them. :swoon

I love, love, love all the hats. Will be back later and post best hats...worst hats pics. Can already say one of the worst hats was part of the royal family.

I do have to admit I love all the history of the British Royal family. You could have a discussion on if there should be a Royal family or not in 2011. You can't denied the awesome history of it all. I think that history helps keep them relevant....at least for now.

Well we are monarchy too , tomorow is actualy queensday over here so whole country is celebrating the birthday of some overpayed ,non tax paying , snob , stuckup , stiffupperlip , bad hat wearing , too many babies making , fled the country in the war , all the wrong connections , inbred family :yay

probably true :giggle We have so many different cultures that it depends on what state you live in on what so called culture you do celebrate.

For us girls we want to see what the bride is wearing and what everyone else is wearing. So it is a female thing.

Definitely didn't stay up to watch but caught up thanks to the wonder of the Internet.

I loved the dress but wasn't too fond of the veil/hairdo. So much more elegant than Diana's pillowcase overly frou frou dress. Kate just looked so relaxed and radiant. And together they just look happy and in love like a normal couple. Loved watching Harry, he is a real firecracker.

I know exactly which hat you are talking about...one of Fergie's daughters.

Can't believe they didn't let Fergie come to the wedding. Some reporter wanted to know if the Queen will try to keep her away when her daughters get married. :/

I normally don't really care about the Royal Family, but this couple seems different from the rest. Hope they are enjoying their real party now. :disco
