New Memberships

Hi all,

As some of u may or may not know, over the last several months, this forum has been plagued with an annoying abundance of spammers. From what the crew here tells me, it is everything from relatively harmless advertisements to hardcore porn images. This is totally unacceptable as it is not only a pain in the buttocks but disrespectful to everyone here.

The staff has been remarkable () at keeping the abusers at bay & have had to take painstaking measures to keep things in check. But it has been very time consuming process. So for the time being, all new memberships have been suspended until I can sort things out & find a better way to weed out the genuine from the idiots.

For those guests reading this who came here to join us, please accept my apology for any inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully, this can be sorted out very quickly. Thanks in advance for your patience & understanding!

Why don't you give Susan and Eileen the administrator function .

Then you change the settings : members by administrator aproval and this thing will be over in no time .

I had also some spammers , did the same thing and now they don't bother me anymore.

Well if you not feel comfortable with this , I would gladly help you with this .

I have the same provider Invission , so I know how all works .
You could make me administrator for a month or so , so I can change this setting and aprove members and delete members that are spamming the forum .

After a month you fire me as administrator and we are probably rid of them , if not we do another month .

But ok , that is up to Honey B .

Blondie has actually done a great job at banning the spammers, and has actually been figuring out how to keep them from posting. I'm sure B will figure out a way she wants to deal with membership as soon as she gets a chance to look around. I just have to think there were a lot of spam bots the way they kept coming around.

Blondie has done an awesome job against the evil spammers and they have not be able to post in awhile.....especially the porn spammers.

If HoneyB or Blondie need any more help I do how the administration board works and would be able to help them. But I am sure I couldn't do any better than Blondie already has.

Plus making you administrator would be dangerous Nik.......you might just make the whole forum PINK

Thx for all the offers of help! It's greatly appreciated.

But I think Fly & I may have found a solution. We're working the kinks out now & testing some stuff so as soon as we're sure it's going to work, we'll let everyone know.
