I know that for a lot of us, there have been some seriously rough times. But no matter how rough, we could always come here to receive a hug, a laugh or a kind word to make things a little better. I think that no matter how dark or bad things truly seem, there is always some light there somewhere...something good that allows u to keep going. Let's take a little time to share more of the good!

Just post something good in your life each day! It can be HUGE or very small...as long as it made u feel like things were not so bad.

I'll gladly start. Last night, Eileen let me know that there was something wrong with The B List. It seems that some hackers hacked into my webhost's server & replaced site's index page with some kiddie bs! I thought, sheesh, just what I need. BUT this morning, all is back to normal. So I am happy this morning because it dang sure could have been worse & grateful that Eileen is such a good friend.

Aw! I got to see a thread inspired by me! That's a *huge* good!

I also didn't have any class so I got a lazy day today, also good. Also! Last night I left my backpack in a coffee house bathroom by accident and didn't realize it until I drove all the way home (fifteen minutes away). I was freaking out because my new mp3 player was inside, not to mention my schoolbooks and my Bible and lots of other important stuff! Well I drove back as fast as I could (legally), ran into the coffee house and asked about my backpack, which they hadn't seen BUT they share the bathroom with a restaurant and said I should check over there to so I did and it was there! and all my stuff was still inside! Needless to say I was very much relieved!

I'm glad to hear that everyone else has little good things happening to. Glad to hear the B list is okay, glad that Alex is feeling better, Eileen is super-mom , Asha got to see Ruth and get tough , and Ramdomo is in loooove

Have great news!!! Alex was in an auto tech competition and won 2nd place, the silver medal. He got a $1250.00 scholarship and some tools. So we are all excited! We are all going out to celebrate!

My Good for yesterday/ today is a very nice Birthday!
First I attended a meeting at my worktraining and it was interesting ... worked for a couple of hours and then came home to my parents and got pressies and a very nice Lunch,
cheeze and ham pie with broccolie and sallad.
I got an electrical toothbrush (Braun) wich I have had befor and was very happy with ... and many greetingcards !
My brother had bought some different pices of fabric...
He knows what I like !

I spent afternoon at my parents and we spoke and just had a nice and warm afternoon. Was the first really warm Summer day here at ours! +27 Degrees Celsius in the shadow... but there was a wind blowing so it was nice.

Good news to share is my Mother-in-Law Esther just went for her Diabetic doctor and all her blood work came out perfect. In fact the doctor said it looks like her diabetes is in remission, didn't know that could happen. She goes to her heart specialist next week. But so far she is in great health.
Other great news is I just order University.....order it online because it is way cheaper. Walmart wanted 50 bucks for it. Wasn't planning on ordering it but really want Nightlife when it comes out and it is easier if you just get all the EP and add them in order. Plus I really miss my water fountain and pool tables.

I want to see Batman also, but have no desire to see War Of The Worlds. Just seems like they took the simple concept that worked for orson Welles and turned it into super effects and stunts. If you do see it let us know how it is.

Saw a preview for a movie with Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning about a racehorse that looks like it will be really good, just can't remember the name. Also has Kris Kristofferson in it (I think he is worthy, even at his age)

Eileen -- happy belated b-day to Sean!! Congrats on the victory at mini-golf!!!

I saw War of the Worlds this past weekend. I liked it A LOT!!! There wasn't as many special effects in this movie like typical movies of this "type." Speilberg (sp?) seemed to be more interested in the actual story line & character development then giving a ton of special effects. Don't get me wrong there were plenty but it wasn't saturated w/them. I believe that the movie progressed almost 20 minutes (more than once too!) without using all the computer generated special effects -- if you know what I mean. I think you might like this version. I know I did!!

Good thing for me today is that I have one more day til the weekend and then it is off to San Fran for a crazy & very short weekend!!

The good thing for me today is my son was not hurt in the bombings in England. They were 2 blocks away from him. He was sweet enough to call early enough where I found out he was OK and that it happened at the same time. Didn't have to go hysterical waiting to hear. They kept the students at the college til things settled down a little, then escorted them to their residence. They are going to decide whether they are going to send them home or not.

I have real mixed emotions on this. I really don't think any more will happen in the next 5 weeks and feel he should probably stay, but I really, really would love to have him come home.

My mother will be 80 this year. You wouldn't know it. She has more energy than I ever thought of having. Her birthday is in December (2 days before Christmas) so she doesn't ever really get a birthday celebration. So dad is having a Celebration of Life for her. All the family will be here tomorrow. It is going to be a nice surprise for her.

Kaveh called today. He is in Ireland for the weekend. He may be coming home early. Says he has a 93 in the class and one more test to take. They have arranged so they don't take public transportation anymore and may hold the remaining classes at their residence. To make sure they are safe. That's cool. Hope he does come home early. I just wanted to share my lovely and nice Sunday !

My mum, dad, my Brother and his girlfriend and I left early for visiting my mums eldest sister , Aunt Gunhild !
It is an hour drive and today there also was a huge second hand outdoors market in the smalltown where she lived...

Have I told you about my and Mums Second Hand / Fleemarket interest ? Well, my Brothers Girlfriend also like those !!!

A little sun but luckily no rain and my Aunt went with us to the market. Then we had brought picnic with us and hada lovely meal and talked and talked befor going home again...

A lovely vacation day !

Don't sell yourself short Eileen, you did alot of work too. Besides the bulk of the work went to B and Fly who set up the whole forum. Tooting our own horn, we make a great team.
