Something good each day :)

Its been so quite for me this morning as every gone out oh yes I,am free this morning. My Son was pick up this morning to go to his club which is on the other side of town. I just hope he is enjoying himself. I suppose now I'll have get use to this. I did the house work in record time today

I'm glad it's Friday again and no work for 2 days!

Well my baby is back from England tonight all in one piece. Mother can relax now. He got a 4.0. He said he loves England, but is glad to be home.

Had our team soccer party and everyone had a good time. Never realized so many people could fit in our pool!

Pat -- Glad to hear your son is back safe and sound and he passed w/flying colors

Eileen -- Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time at the party. You'll be surprised how many people will cram into a pool when they can!

Susan -- Yes, it's great that so many people are joining up. I hope they stick around as well! I know I did!

So , I have not been very well last 4 weeks or so , learned that I had too high bloodsuger levels and need to medicate and diet for that.

On the bright side , I do feel much better now than 4 weeks ago so I guess the meds work.

Tonight I wanted a sweater as i felt a bit cold so I went to my "Oldclothes/doesn'tfit"
wardrobe I have in my hallway. I pulled out a sweater and saw my 6 pairs of perfectly good pants but not right size. (too small)

Now- I have lost a couple of kg this spring/ summer so I just thought "Why not try them on ????"

To my surprise- the first pair went on with no problem at all !
... and the second too, same type of pants ...
Horray 2 pairs of pants ! A black pair for this autumn and a hideous green pair for work... I thought while looking at the 2 black pairs left in the wardrobe ...

Next on- and buttoned up ! This pair I only wore once ! Can be used as nice pants for dress up !

The 4th pair I actually could button but I think they will stay in that wardrobe while I lose 2 more kg...

Last but not least - I tried my white Summer pants- and they fit !!!! ( also only worn a couple of times.)

Sorry to here you have not been feeling well.........oh and this is for you for just telling us.......we could have shown you support, prayed and sent good thoughts your way........lucky for you that your so sweet so you are forgiven. Remember we are always here for you.

Has your blood sugar come down. Can cause damage when it is high. Glad to here you are feeling better and hope the meds are working.

Things been rather weird with Dad sick also and days and weeks passing in jet speed.

I actually have a little thingy to meassure my bloodlevels with and those sticky things
aswell.... They are rather stable my figures but on thursday i gonna have to stick again and check befor breakfast , after breakfast, befor lunch , after lunch and befor dinner after dinner cus I have gone from 1 pill tp 3 per day.

Yuck - I soo hate to do that . I close my eyes hard and hit the button but it still hurts and I simply HATE that ... my poor fingers...

I actually was afraid of taking blood as an child and still hate it so for me sticking myself ... my father and mother didn't belive I did it myself so I had to show them.

No, this isn't the rant tread, even though you never know wich tread it is here..

Something good, no something GREAT happened to me today!

I've been taking an Ancient Greek language class for the past five weeks and when I first started I was doing very badly. I had a failing average and was ready to drop the class but I wanted to stay in and see if I could learn the stuff so it would be easier when I repeated the class....well turns out I don't have to because I managed to pull my average up to a C and I got a C on my final exam today so I passed!!

It's a C but I am so happy with it!

Congrats Lori! I couldn't even imagine how hard that class must have been. Ancient languages are ancient for a reason!

Susanne, glad you are feeling better. Sorry you have to stick yourself but if it keeps you healthy it is worth it! for you my dear friend!

Thanks for the congrats Swarmies. While I'd love to be able to speak ancient Greek to you all I can't for several reasons:

1. it's a dead language so I don't really know how to pronounce it anyway
2. I would write something in greek for you, but I don't have the font on my compy
3. I got a C...lol that means I can barely understand it much less do anything practical or impressive with it

As for helping me understand the Bible, well it is kind of neat to be able to look at it in the language that some of it was originally written in, but it's more confusing than anything. I say just find a decent English translation and that's good enough (it was translated by a bunch of nerdy Greek scholars that actually *like* to translate anyway!...let them do all the work )

Susanne -- Glad to hear you are feeling better and your sugar level is down. I hope it continues that way and you have no further problems. on your losing a few kgs!! Always good to fit into clothes that didn't . . . specially favorite one!

Lori -- Congrats on your "C" in your Ancient Greek lang. class! I would never attempt to take something like that . . . can barely retain the Italian I tried to learn a couple of months ago! LoL

Something good/funny for me . . .I went to the "female only doctor" (for any men who come in here ) and everything checked out but I walked out of the office with . . . you won't believe it . . . a script for pre-natal vitamins!! We're not even ready to start that yet but my doctor was so excited that I am now married and getting ready to "enter that phase" of my/our life that she gave me a 5 min. crash course on conception AND the script for the vitamins.

When I told My Steve last night on the phone (away on business) I can only imagine his expression when I told him what she gave me!

. . . poor man all he could say was "I didn't know you have to take vitamins that far in advance." :
