I will start off........

Saw "Night at the Museum"

A cute family type movie. Really doesn't have much of a story but I still enjoyed watching it. Nice to see a movie that you can watch with your kids.

Never heard of that one Susan Shame.gif but I will look out for it.

I watched Xmen last stand. I really enjoyed the previous films of the trio but this one wasn't up to scratch in my opinion. However, it says that it has 2 alternate endings on the box Ponder2.gif So I'll watch them and see if it improves KGiggle.gif

Agree the 3rd X-Men wasn't as good as the first two. It did have a different director, so I think that was the problem. Did think moving the Golden Gate Bridge was cool Cool.gif in the movie and of course anything with Hugh Jackman Drool.gif as Wolverine is worth watching to me. They are suppose to make a movie called Wolverine which I think would be cool and maybe get more into his past.

Night at the Museum had Ben Stiller in it Yes.gif

Have to comment on Borak movie. Saw most of it the other night. My son and I watched it. Even though my son is 20, don't think this a movie to watch with him. When I started watching it I asked my daughter how raunchy it was and she said very very raunchy. Not really my type of movie. She was right. Do have to admit some parts of it was funny. Like the idea that he fooled these people thinking he was making a real documentary. I am glad I saw it but don't think this is the type of movie I would want to watch over and over again.
What gets me is they were talking about this movie should be nominated for an Oscar. Yes it was creative and out there but to win a best picture award......I don't think so.
Would I recommend this movie.....yes Yes.gif but only for people who don't mind a raunchy out there movie. If you get embarrassed easily, you may want to watch this movie alone. KGiggle.gif

Yeah in one of the endings of xmen Charles is still alive so it would be interesting to see if he appears in the Wolverine movie.

I am really not interested in watching the Borat movie that much. I know from his previous films that he can be hilarious but also very very embarrassing Shocked.gif

My son would propably love it, I think because of its lavatorial and playground humour.

Stefan is coming for dinner tonight and we are having veggie mousakka, can we still go ahead with the menu thread Ponder2.gif sorry OffTopic.gif but we are watching Terry Pratchet's Hogfather which I believe was shown as a series on sky.

Hey

Well I have to say I enjoyed Night at the Museum even though there wasn't much of a story also. Feel the same about XMen 3 also. Haven't seen Borat and don't think I want to.

I just finished watching deja vu with none other than Denzel. Thought that it was cool. I am so into stuff that makes time travel/warps possible especially when it is a serious movie and not just fantasy. Also like Jim Caviezel. My only comment is that a lot Denzel's roles seem to be alike. The law man looking for justice with the exception of Training Day of Course.

Have you seen Training Day with Denzel......he is not so nice in that movie. One of his best performance Yes.gif

Oh yes Borat is very educational.....I learned what it would look like if two nude men were fighting because one of them was enjoying a picture of Pamela Anderson a little too much. KWTF.gif

Watched Silent Hill and not the best movie and a little on the strange side. It wasn't scary at all. It is based on a Video game. Maybe the game is better KWhoKnew.gif

Superman Returns, what a let down. Some things are best left alone. Also it is filmed on those colours I detest. Unfortunately for me this film has no saving graces. Didn't even want to watch it a second time.

Yes , I seen trainingday and DW was kind of cool in there , that I have to admit .
Silent Hill , well I have the game and it is truely frightening , never seen the movie though .

I liked TransAmerica ( about a transsexual woman Felicity Hoffman -Desperate Housewifes ).
I think because the movie really tells you something but in a light and humores way . And I like that .

Most movies I find superficial , nice to watch maybe but easy to forget .

With it raining saw a few new movies........

Happy Feet - it was okay. The graphics were great but there was a lot in the story line. I wouldn't recommend this movie for young kids. It has a sea lion in it trying to kill the Penguins that even scared me. I think Cars, Over the Hedge and Barnyard are way better. Have to admit I found myself bored with it at times.

Ghost Rider - It was okay also. Love the Ghost Rider special effects but thought the movie could be darker. Would like to see a second one made with a better director and script writer because I really do like the Comic character Ghost Rider.

If I had the choice of Happy Feet or Ghost Rider.......I would choose Ghost Rider.

I wish I could say I loved it.......I do love the graphics and the work they put in it. I just wished they geared it more to kids than adults, like they did Cars. There are some cute parts with Happy Feet. It is best when Robin Williams characters are on.

Have some more movies to watch that I got from Sarah's friend.......actually new boyfriend of the week. I told her I thought she was still with Miguel and she said he was a loser. Which I do agree with KGiggle.gif

I agree with you Susan on Happy Feet...I found it to be a big disappointment and the story was boring at times to me.

Thanks for the warning .

I saw Deja Vu uuuurrrrggg TwistMouth2.gif

It was like all boring moments in my life flashed before me but then I realised , I was watching a movie ..... Shocked.gif
When the movie hits off , you know almost in the first minutes where this movie is going to , ok then the movie takes this unbelieveable turn , explained by Denzel in a high squeeking voice , his attempt to make all believeable , but he don't .

I think the worst part of the movie is this.

There are 534 lifes at stake but what does Denzel do ???????????????????
He is gonna safe the girl first OhBrother.gif so he has his priorities straight No.gif

But to be honest , the movie has a positive moment too and that is when you see :

THE END Kyelbiggrin.gif

Lets use this topic also to warn eachother for bad movies , I calculated that this could safe us some euro's or USD or pounds a year .
And you do a good deed Yes.gif

I know some people have thought Deja Vu was okay, guess I will have to see it for myself. One nice thing about watching movies at home is you can push the "stop" button. Kyelbiggrin.gif

I think I'm in love with Denzel, it started when I saw him in 'much ado about nothing'. He can't do wrong in my eyes KGiggle.gif but maybe I won't watch the film, I don't wanna spoil an illusion KGiggle.gif

I watched a surprisingly good film on cable the other night Shocked.gif. It was called 'The Juror' and starred Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin and Tony Soprano (what ever his name is). It turned out to have a reasonable plot, lots of action and kept you on tenderhooks until the end. I recommend it Hug2.gif

Hadn't heard of that movie but it does sound interesting Yes.gif

Plot summary for
The Juror (1996)
When Annie Laird is selected as a juror in a big Mafia trial, she is forced by someone known as "The Teacher" to persuade the other jurors to vote "not guilty". He threatens to kill her son if she doesn't commit. When the trial is over, he can't let her go...

Just from the previews to me it looks like a very lame excuse for a movie...can't wait to hear what people who see it say.

That movie looks lame to me also. Looks also like they copied Tim Allen's movie The Santa Clause with Evan changing and trying to shave his hair and it keeps coming back. I am sure it deserves its bad reviews.

Saw the movie The Wicker Man with Nicholas Cage. Strange movie and wasn't sure if I liked it or not until the end and I decided I didn't care for it. The ending sucked. Raspberry.gif

I don't like the look of evan almighty, haven't even bothered seeing what it is about. Lots of pictures are getting bad reviews here, POTC 3, Shrek, Spiderman. The critics say the producers should stop at no.2 as they seem to run out of ideas by no.3.

I'm usually first in the queue to see Jonny Depp but after the last Pirates I was pretty disapointed. I can't wait to see Shrek, don't care if its rubbish cos it looks fun to me.

The biggest movie for me this year will be Harry Potter. I'm really looking forward to it, I've got it all planned....... get down to the pictures for the first showing at 9am on the first day, extra large tub of butterpop, back seat, luxury KYayBee.gif The kids will be on hols but they won't be up that early KYayBee.gif KYayBee.gif KYayBee.gif. Cinema to myself, heaven GoTeam.gif

I don't like Nicholas Cage at all. (The Wicker Man flopped here) Not only do I think he is a terrible actor, always plays himself, but I saw him in the most disturbing film I have ever seen in my life and it put me off him big time NotSafe.gif

Mandy, we saw Shrek 3 and totally enjoyed it. I thought it was much better than the second...just don't leave when the credits start cause some of the funniest stuff happens then. KLOL2.gif

My oldest saw POTC3 and said it was awesome...I haven't seen it so can't say first hand.

My daughter saw Shrek 3 also and loved it Yes.gif

People I know who have seen Spiderman 3 have liked it. My brothers also thought POTC 3 was good, they liked it better than 2.

I do love Nicholas Cage in most of his movies. Love National Treasure, The Rock, Valley Girl, Face Off, World Trade Center, Lord of War, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Con Air, Moonstruck, Peggy Sue Got Married...............all I can think of now.

Which movie of his did you not like? I do think that lately he has been making bad choices in scripts/movies. He did make a 2nd National Treasure and looking forward to seeing that one Yes.gif

I must admit I did like the sound of National Treasure and may get it out on loan. The film that really disturbed me was called 8mm, it was gruesome in the most disgusting way. Maybe I'm just a whimp but it was just horrible and really upset me No.gif

KThanks.gif Eileen and Susan, Shrek is a must, it comes out next week. I will probably get POTC when it comes out on DVD.

Watching my Denzel in Fallen right now, but can't make head nor tale of it at the moment KGiggle.gif
