You read my mind Susan, I was going post that song, absolutely loved it. This was a record that I claimed as mine when I was very young and I still have it. I used to go all round the house in my boots singing these boots are made for walking

And this is another that I claimed when I was young Greenfinger Adam Faith

I have a lot of the songs on my iPod -- Moonriver, What a Wonderful Life, Crazy and the Bee Gee songs. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Never heard of the song Greenfinger but it has a great beat to it. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Caroline -- please post a song or two. I have another you might like if you haven't already come across it. Not true reggae but good beat that makes you bop up and down Kyelbiggrin.gif

Black Eyed Peas -- Let's Get It Started -- believe it or not this song was featured in the Sims game Urbz. Had a few songs of theirs in the game but I found this one to be the best.

More movie music Kyelbiggrin.gif

Malcolm McLaren -- About Her -- from Kill Bill Vol. 2

K-Ci & JoJo -- Crazy -- another one from Save the Last Dance

Mary J. Blige & Ludacris -- Grown Woman -- was in the movie Death Race with Jason Statham Drool.gif This song (main lyrics) introduced the girls who paired up with the drivers. Kyelbiggrin.gif Drool.gif worthy scene for the men roflmao.gif Me personally -- I like the scene where Statham is doing pull-ups with no shirt on Swoon.gif Faint.gif

My first crush Swoon.gif The Monkees -- A Little Bit You A Little Bit Me -- need I say more? Kyelbiggrin.gif

Echo & The Bunnymen -- as you know this is a Doors song but this version was made for the Lost Boys soundtrack and I think it quite good. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Lastly -- Placebo -- Running Up That Hill -- this song has been used a lot but I heard it on Bones a couple of times. Very haunting and can get to you if your mood is down.

Just for Fun --

Tom Jones -- Sexbomb (Peppermint Remix) -- bit of a remix I came across and liked it. Kyelbiggrin.gif

George Michael -- Monkey -- Do you love your monkey or do you love me?!?!?!?!? KWink.gif

Wilson Pickett -- Mustang Sally -- KSunny.gif

Grease - Frank Valli -- Groovy.gif

Enjoy!

Florence and the Machine - this song always caught me as they used it to advertise Grey's Anatomy series 5

and they used this for an earlier season, loved this too Snow Patrol

Okay on a more serious note, my RIP section

And first and foremost - Billie Jean

Rock my World - although a lot of people didn't like this I thought it was okay

Smooth Criminal

Creep
No Scrub
Try Again featuring the Asian Dude KGiggle.gif - theme song from the film Romeo must die
More than a Woman

both departed Luther and Gregory There's nothing better than love
Practice What You Preach

Changing up now - this the reggae version of Practice What You Preach

and a couple more songs for you Andrea - ragga style On and On and this Aswad Song went to no.1 in the British Charts Don't Turn Around
Stick by Me

Right backing up to the catch up (sorry I got a bit carried away there). KYayBee.gif for Sponge Bob. Not so keen on the cello version, but it is clever.

Love Patsy Cline, knew it was only a matter of time before she got a place here. Jon Bon Jovi, just looks so hot in that video (is he in the hunks thread?).

Like in the Navy by the muppets Susan and YMCA wow takes me back some.

Rhema has such a lovely voice, perhaps she will be the next Christina as she also sang really well as a young child.

Andrea I loved the film Save the Last Dance and a lot of the music from it.
Also like Black Eyed Peas (well some of their music anyway) and some of your selection brought back both good and bad memories. tom Jones Sex Bomb (wow) that's all I can say The monkees, I used to love their program, but it so long ago and not so much a fan of George Michael but love this song Careless Whisper As for Grease, saw that film about 6 times in the Cinema and don't know how many times more since. I have it both on video and DVD. and Wilson Pickett where did you dig that up from?

Eileen quite forgot about Sister Act 1 and 2 when going through the films, thought the music from both was good, but here are 2 that I liked I will Follow HimOh Happy Day Well I hope I didn't miss any and now I will return the thread to you as I think I overdid it just a little bit KGiggle.gif Hug2.gif

roflmao.gif Thanks for the reggae music. I forgot how talented Aaliyah was. That was Jason Lee I believe -- very hot martial arts actor. Drool.gif I liked TLC too but not a fan of Barry White. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Believe it or not that song was in Miss Congeniality -- when Gracie came out of the hanger after her make over that song was played. LoL

I like Careless Whisper a lot but this is my favorite from Wham Last Christmas

Hope the memories weren't too bad Caroline but I'm glad you enjoyed most of the songs I posted. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Lastly for the Twilight fans KWink.gif Bella's Lullaby

Jet Li Andrea. I only call him the Asian Dude cos that is what Susan named him. I think he's hot too, well I think most of his action is great. Yeah last christmas is okay, but careless whisper is still my fav.

Are you talking barry white was in Miss Congeniality.

No the memories weren't too bad Andrea. Tom Jones just really isn't my thing, except for 'it's not unusual'. Not really what I would call a sexbomb KGiggle.gif

K-Ci & JoJo: loved the song and found a few more I liked as well

Monkees: Have liked them from the beginning and still never get tired of them:
Pleasant Valley Sunday one of my favs

Echo & The Bunnymen: Like that version of the song Yes.gif

Luther: What can I say...sexy as heck voice and gone way too soon Candle.gif
Here and Now
Always and Forever
The Impossible Dream

Oh, and on the lighter side, not a big Tom Jones fan but it brings up these:

KBlush.gif -- right Jet Li -- I knew there was a "lee" in there somewhere. roflmao.gif Thanks Caroline!

I don't remember Barry White in that movie but a Tom Jones song was. KWhoKnew.gif I checked the soundtrack on amazon and Los Lobos sang Mustang Sally in the movie. I do remember Barry White being played in Blast from the Past though. Kyelbiggrin.gif As I said -- not a fan of Mr. White so I could have blocked it from my memory. KGiggle.gif

Those dances were really funny. I never watched Fresh Prince regularly so I never saw those two scenes. Thanks for sharing!

That's good Caroline. I know what you mean about not liking the singer/group. Everytime I hear a Kings of Leon song -- No.gif TwistMouth2.gif Raspberry.gif KWTF.gif do not like them at all.

Not a fan of Luther either KWhoKnew.gif Very talented song writer and had a great voice but just his songs just didn't do it for me. KWink.gif

Cool -- hope you can post more songs later Eileen. I know I wrote a few down myself to check for next time I am on iTunes. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Misunderstanding. I was asking what song was in Miss Congeniality because you said I don't like Barry White and then went on to say Believe it or not that song was in Miss Congeniality, so I was confused as I didn't know what song you were talking about.

Neil Diamond has had a rebirth with this generation and Sweet Caroline. It was one of the songs at Bryan's wedding and is participatory by the audience, plus they did it on Glee Kyelbiggrin.gif

KBlush.gif I really must slow down when typing or lay off the Coffee.gif when posting stuff. Caroline I meant -- I was glad that the memories weren't bad memories (if you know what I mean). What I get for not reading my posts a third time which I usually do to avoid confusing people. No.gif Kyelbiggrin.gif

I love the Ding-A-Ling song. roflmao.gif roflmao.gif Also, love Wicked Game too -- keep forgetting to load it onto my iPod. TwistMouth2.gif Have to remember to do that this weekend.

My favorite Bryan Adams song is this one -- Bryan Adams -- Have you really ever loved a woman

I bet everyone looked silly dancing to that tune Eileen. Kyelbiggrin.gif

Neil Diamond is okay but I prefer Barry Manilow myself -- Barry Manilow -- Copacabana KGiggle.gif

Any song with my name in the title, has got to be good KGiggle.gif like the Glee version too

Glad you liked Asian Dude in Forbidden Kingdom Susan and I'm a believer is my favourite Monkees song.

Love Bryan Adams, like this song with Mel C When You're Gone

Chuck Berry - real funny song, takes me back

The Rocky Horror Show looks good, I never watched it, used to avoid it, but maybe if I see it somewhere I will watch it now. Have always liked Tim Curry.

I guess I draw the line at Barry Manilow, yes he is talented, but not my cup of tea (sorry). Hug2.gif

I think the Sims videos are cool, which I had the patience to do something like that.

You are all finding some interesting old music like Gimme Dat Ting, had forgotten about some of those songs. Hello Muddah, hello faddah, love it still

Leaving on a Jet Plane, my favourite Peter, Paul and Mary.

one of my favourite carpenters Mr Postman

Here's another old one I like Do Wah Diddy and this Into Something Good

Moving on a few decades

Love this video Backstreet's back and this one Girlfriend

One of my favourite En Vogue Don't Let Go

Like this taken from the soundtrack of the Beach, one of our British Groups All Saints - Pure Shores

I skimmed the thread and it looks like you have some interesting music in here. I wanted to share a few videos of songs that I enjoy.

I love certain kinds of electronic music very much. One of my favorites in this genre is Infected Mushroom (These songs are very long just to warn you):

Never Never Land
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STtd1uPh3I4

Dancing With Kadafi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnXVIsMimHY

Albibeno
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goNkktyhN-c

I also love this song by DJ Tiësto (intro takes a couple minutes to get going so you can skip to about 2:30)

I don't know if any of you have played SimCity4, but that has some of the best music I have hever heard in a game. I listen to it while building in TS1 (mute the game music and sounds and just play the songs in Media player)
My absolute favorite song is from the Rush Hour Expansion.
"Floating Population":

All of these songs are fairly long so feel free to skip through them if you don't want to listen to the whole thing!

Hi.gif Hyp!

OK, I have to be honest and say when I saw electronic my first reaction was No.gif . But since this is all about expanding my horizons I gave an honest listen and I really enjoyed your choices. Yes.gif

The Infected Mushroom songs were so energetic they made me want to get up and move. They would be perfect for my mp3 player Exercise/Walking playlist.

I actually really enjoyed the Sim City 4 music as well. My hubby used to play that game but I never tried it.

Great choices! Thanks for throwing something different into the mix.

Hey Hypnotiq, welcome to our music thread Hi.gif

yea, we do have an interested selection of music KGiggle.gif

The music you shared is great. I liked Dancing With Kadafi the best. I like listening to music with no words, just to hear the musical instruments. I like Jazz Spyro Gyra , Big Band sound Glenn Miller, I guess that is another reason I love movies from the 1940's with all that great big band sound. I like Classical Guitar and piano which you can just do a search on youtube and get lots of great different artist. Just listen to an orchestra is great also. Yes.gif

Why does EA give Sims4 better music than the Sims game. Not fair. Shame.gif I always turn down the music in my game when I am creating a Sim, building or decorating. That music can drive you nuts after a while. Loco.gif

Eileen Jim Carrey's version is funny. I think its a big improvement. roflmao.gif
Evolution of Dance is cool. The guy was on America's Got Talent the other night when they where showing the most popular youtube videos on the results show.

What is funny about me posting in this thread is that I am not a big music person. I don't have an ipod. My husband and kids do. I have no desire to get one at this time. I'm a movie buff person. Yes.gif I will listen to music but usually I listen to a few song at a time. Only listen to radio when I am in the car with Steve. Steve is the music person. He knows artist, songs and words to all of them. He listens to almost everything. My kids are the same way.

Here are my favorites that I listen to now......
Josh Groban .......and anything else he sings. Swoon.gif
For Your Entertainment and Time for Miracles, which is from the movie 2012.

As I posted before, I so love music from movies and if I had to choose what type of music I listen to the most, it is theme songs/music from movies. KGiggle.gif
