Thinking...

Hello Guys,

Nate and I were talking on Thursday and we were discussing the recent inactivity on the forum.

I just want to bring up here that a certain amount of "chatter" is a good thing. It is important to share thoughts and experiences in our lives, being that we are social beings. You know, we don't want to come down too hard that "only business can be said here on this forum."

Now, I propose this. Since it seems that this specific folder on the forum is entitled "the campfire," I think it seems that we could use this folder as a slightly more "social folder." I am not talking about getting carried away with nonsense, but a certain about of discussion can be good. So, we can have it organized that this is the more fun folder, and other serious Schoenstatt related posts can go else where.

I just want to bring up an example. When is the last time you have seen architectofschoenstatt (Nate), Puertorican schoenstatter (Francisco), or MTA-man (Paul) post here? Not for a long time. They were on tons before. Personally, I would like to just see them here and having a conversation rather than not finding a trace of them.

Don't get me wrong, I do agree that we do need to moderate the racking post counts. But, a certain amount of fun posts is good as well.

Schoenstatt is about strengthening our faith through the Blessed Mother. There is also the friendship aspect where we come to know each other better and help each other reach that goal of sanctification. We can do that by keeping more conversations open.

I suggest we use just this folder for more open topic discussions.

Thoughts?

God bless,

Joseph

I agree. We need to talk about what's going on in our day to day lives, so we can suport each other and have something to talk about when our business related conversations are done.

So, I see that the Forum is livening up again. At least minimally. That, however, is a good sign and I think that this is a good idea.

How was GermanFest Paul? The only Fest I really attend is IrishFest (Which is the best one). Don't ask me why I made that One Word. The Fests are one of the Things I really like about Milwaukee. On a similar issue, are any of you from Milwaukee/Wisconsin coming down to State Fair? I bet we could meet up somewhere and maybe wear our shirts?

I think I'm coming... When are you going to be there Nate? and, are you talking about the Source and Summit T-shirts?
