Does anyone know how to post a picture on here? As far as I can tell, I am not able to do so. I know that with other boards you press a "insert picture" button, but here, there is none. Maybe this board just doesn't have that feature.

Talk to y'all later!

This board does not appear to host photos for you, which is what most "insert picture" buttons do. (They upload the picture directly to the forums servers.)

You need to use an external online photo host such as http://www.fototime.com http://imageshack.us http://www.ripway.com
I like Ripway because they've always been pretty reliable (Imageshack has not been reliable lately) and because you can host more than just pictures with Ripway. (such as documents, etc. You can't do that with Imageshack.)

You upload your image to the servers of one of those sites, and they give you a link to the picture you just uploaded to their servers. You then can post that link in a post here, or, using the forum code you can tell the forum to download a picture directly to a post whenever that particular thread is opened (the thread with the post with the picture) from the external online server hosting your photo.

Most forums use this code to imbed photos into a post: [(remove this)img]your photo link here[/img]

If anyone needs anything hosted quickly, email it to me and I'll host it for you.

I hope this is somewhat clear. It's late, and may not be explaining it as best I can.

Example photo:

Direct link to photo on Ripway's servers: http://h1.ripway.com/tangent/KAMTA-Lastmeeting006.gif

Photo imbedded in post using [(remove this)img] code:

So see, you can post photos! :D

Okay...I see. That procedure is a ton harder than just pressing one button twice. Of course, that is because of the steps involved. I am going to have to run through that all again to really know how it is done.

Oh, and for the new guys here who don't know me, I'm the second guy from the right (yellow shirt) in the picture I posted.

That picture is from the last group meeting of the Knights Afire for the MTA, which is mine, Upper 90's (Joseph), and Par-Quest's group.

It's a pretty big picture though. I'd suggest resizing it.

Here's a much more managable size for a picture you want to post on the Internet.

I just realized that Ripway provides and easy way to post pictures on forums!

After you upload your picture to them, you should get back to a screen which looks like this:

(Posted Image)

Click on the "Get Codes" link.
On the next page, you should see this a little more than halfway down:

(Posted Image)

Copy and paste that into the box in which you're writing a post.

There you go, you've posted a picture!

That is crazy how you can go and just post my picture like that. I am going to have to give it a try.

Guess what!!! The MTA picture is in!!!! I just have to pick it up. There are two, so I have to go and pick which one we prefer.

Catch you later!
