The Year of Community

Uniting, Building, and Renewing!

I think we should work on this throughout the year guys!

Uniting: The region, districts, sub districts.
Building: New groups, adding new members, virtue, the kingdom of God
Renewing: existing groups, SUM, the whole movement, our parishes, etc.

The camp theme of "A Father Leads" should spur us on with this! We are all called to be leaders as fathers. Leadership will be something for us all to grow in and practise this year at every level of of the branch.

Let us look to JPII and Joseph Engling for inspiration and prudent techniques.

Later,
God Bless,
Paul
Regional Leader

Hey all,

The priest at Mass today had an amazing sermon which I thought tied in with our Year of Community very well.

It was on the reading Mathew Chapter 12, verses 46-50. Jesus is refering to his apostles as his brothers, sisters and mother.

Father made the point that God is at the root of every relationship, in its essence. Relationship is the key word. By paying attention and fostering the relationships around us we actually grow closer to God in this way. Father said something to the extent that those around us, that we have a relationship with of some kind, becasue God is at the root of every relationship in its essence are our brothers and sisters.

I guess it gets down to Brothers in Christ! Oh! He said it so much better I wish I would have taken notes! But anyhow, let us all take our relationships more seriously in our homes, church community and of course Schoenstatt! After all, the people around us become for us our brothers and sisters since God is at the root of all relationships.

Have a great day my brothers!

God Bless,
Paul

Amen brotha!

(Real quick, as an aside, it's not at all important but I just thought it was funny; Sr. Miriam gave me a dankenote this past Sunday for helping out with a REAPer retreat, and it looked like she signed it "Sista Miriam". :D)

LOL Your avatar is so perfect for this question! :D

Well, for one thing the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence! :D
For another thing the international center has a shrine near it which means you are close to a shrine!

Finnaly, lots of Schoenstatt events occur in the Waukesha area since it is the home of the international center and the big Schoenstatt Family of that area.

But like I said, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence! :D
