Kidneygrill77 - May 31, 2011 05:21 AM (GMT)
Hi guys...

Very new in forum. So this was my first post for SMM.
I start with Nissan Skyline GTR KenMeri for base model.

The model from fujimi.

user posted image
I start by lowering the front suspension since the stance look to high at the front. Cut the suspension and make the tube slave to lock it back to the place.

Ok.. sorry all for delay since I have side project have to be done.. <_<

Ok the update. Since the kit come with the engine, so the hood need to be open.

user posted image
Last 240zl project the hood have been done with the hinge so this time must be slightly easy.

user posted image
The hood have been cut of already but some mistake have done but never mind.. proceed to do it.

user posted image
Plaplate, styrene rod, styrene or plastic tube that can incert the rod in it.

user posted image
I cut it & shape it like this.

user posted image
Will look like this when it done.

user posted image
The tube stick in it to make as slot hinge.

user posted image
The hood set it proper before attach the hinge.

user posted image
Slot the rod & glue it to the hood.

user posted image
The task have done...

Thank you all and please drop the comment... :D

As for the engine bay detail, add some more lah... here's an example of the engine bay (although it is from the Kyosho toy, you can make a reference from this). Here is another website showing more detailed view of the engine that you can use as reference. :D

Have been a week I not update the progress... Here some of the work done before gone for holiday...

user posted image
This should be the reference as my inspire..

user posted image
To make the green color more appear, I spray 1 wet layer of white.

user posted image
This green used Mr. Hobby clear green + bright green + pearl powder. But appear not to very striking.

user posted image
So to make it more appear, I mix some Tamiya candy green lime with previous color. Look more promising :P

user posted image
the interior also done with some green trim. Try to achieve ABS Plastic effect for dashboard and some plastic part. The seat & door trim try to achieve leather look.. Need some a bit touch up and it will done... ^_^

Ok... that is for now... Thanks for viewing.

Bro, same applies to red color too. I tried on my Ferrari F430 before and it does look much better but be careful 'coz the silver surface is not rough enough for adhesion of your color of choice and eventually will come off if you apply masking tape when painting window trim..

user posted image

so the risk is there..

didn't actually think that in this color it would look fierce. You've nailed it ;) I would recommend you to add on bonnet pins to make it look more fierce, just my thoughts ^_^

click me

are you going to patch up black color for the inner part of the front hood? if you leave it to display with the hoods oppened, its going to potong stim a bit hehe :P

Yes bro... Thinking & sellect the material right now since the inner silver paper of cigarette quite hard to find, so need to see what material can stimulate heat cover... Even look it very ugly if I let it like that with out anything to cover it...
