Nice...hope to see the final product soon, and this Pendekar is needed in the Muzium display lah...

druid_99 - September 22, 2011 04:27 AM (GMT)
Wah, looks good although you might want to put the antenna last as it will interfere when you are trying to paint the tank.

Mine is still on hold. :(

Thanks bro for advice. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Did you apply surfacer with paint brush?
Will it leave brush stroke at the end?

Yes bro, using paint brush for surfacer only...

Thanks for sharing the pics bro. The white surfacer you've applied on your PT-91M Pendekar reminds me of a well applied layer of car shampoo before the rinsing process! ;)

hahaha...
I have 2 choice either using grey or white surfacer, instead i choose white since i will do pre-shade after this...

North African Campaigner - September 22, 2011 11:41 AM (GMT)
Bro looking forward to your pre-shading pics when you're done. Will like to see how well this white surfacer has served you in this area. :)

bro..nice, but the sand color over spray a bit too much lah, spraying pressure too high? a tip is to spray like 45 deg inward from the camo edge, can reduce overspary too,,

Looking good bro and thanks for sharing your updates with us. Can't wait to see when you've finally completed your Pt-91M project. :)

banderkt7 - September 28, 2011 03:01 PM (GMT)
NICE WORK! The green look like missing as you can't see much of the green as compare to the real thing. The bakul durian is not totally square and the snorkel is smaller if you have the PERAJURIT SEPT 2011 you can see this feature in the poster of PT91 firing where the bakul durian has no netting cover. My scanner is down if not I will post the image here. This is great finally a finished PT91. What tracks are you putting?

I saw some photo, more on sandy one... maybe some pendekar have more green, and some more on other color...

Hard to do oval things for bakul durian actually...
try to look over internet for bakul durian, still no one to sell it yet...

I am putting Leo2 tracks, from AFV... Correct bro?

banderkt7 - September 29, 2011 02:17 AM (GMT)
Leo 2 tracks is ok if not, view this link 2009 MGB. PzH2000 tracks would be closer. Yep, your are correct some more tan while other more green. However if you see a real one not in a photo the real green is green not so olive green type, don't what to classify the green - dark or green green. I will scan the poster of the bakul durian and post it later.

Bro, you can look at my PT-91 progress (link below) and there is a lot of reference over there (even for the bakul durian :D ).

My PT-91 progress page

By the way, I think the Pendekar is using NATO colours that is available from Tamiya which is the NATO black, NATO green and NATO brown and as for the tan colour, I think it should be lighter from the reference that I have.

The sprocket if you want it to fit the LEO 2 or PzH2000 tracks you will need to modify the teeth to 12. You can scan the LEO 2 Sprocket or Pzh2000 Sprocket onto the pla card then do as Druid99 does in his PT91.
