The 'new' Italeri AC-130H is actually the 'old' Esci/AMT AC-130H kit.

Completely different tooling from the original Italeri AC-130A & C-130H kits, and if not mistaken has engraved panel lines.

Very odd decision by italeri when the actually have molds of their own for both 1/72 and 1/48

The difference in breakdown of the Italeri & Esci/AMT kits are unmistakable - for example, note the separate vertical tailplane of the Esci/AMT kit and the way they represented the cockpit transparencies.

Yes am familiar with esci kit our aneh had two one was sold to Thomas n one went to east Malaysia.......the masking would be a killer....but then again the italeri kit is not a piece of cake when it comes to masking....

Well I have my fair share of hercs including the ac-130 italeri mold rereleased with the original nam version decals...as well at the bigger c/h version so italeri's reboxing is far from the mind for now....this year trying to have zero new additions and so far so good :rolleyes:
