Happy New Year everyone!

Here's a kit I've had on the bench for a long long time.
My first bike!
The build started off as a Movistar Honda Pons but got dumped after a decaling disaster.
Gave up after starting with the fuel tank.
Too many curves! Respect to those who've completed this.
Anyway, I was lucky to have some alternate NSR500 decals.

Plus point: body was already sprayed white so I only had to mask & spray TS49 over for this scheme.
Decals went on easy enough, they were top notch except for bleed through on the whites

The was A LOT of parts to paint (skipped on some, lol).
But it was hella satisfying when it came together.
I particularly enjoyed the wiring work.

Some bit and bobs. Front disc brakes were a pain to mask so I only went halfway.

Tires had to be resprayed gloss black so that meant the tire decals were history.
Got some templates that hopefully work out.

Tire templates didn't turn out half bad. Had a few tries, wiped off overspray with thinner.

The 'bits and bobs' now make sense when they finally come together.
