Wow bai...notice u really like 'Pearl White' Ferrari's huh...i think most of ur cars color is 'WHITE' judging form ur previous build... Nice painting job on the interior....notice u 'highlight' those buttons and 'aircond' vents..the color on the aircond vents; are those aluminium or steel color u r using...? Looking forward to c ur final finish! |

yes~ love ferrari in pearl white~ but proly gonna make a red one when i finish these 2, or is there any other color that look good for 288~~ for the interior, it is the chrome gundam marker, basically every silver thing in there is done by that cheers |

Well bai...besides white and RED, u can have either Black or Dark Blue for Ferrari's...mayB u can check out Kenneth's Ferrari's....

Good work there man! I love the interior. Simple but the combination of colours are good and clean. I do agree with you that white is a very difficult color to accomplish. Same goes with yellow too. Any dust and impurities will show. I have already been planning a F430 Challange in White too. Maybe next few months I will start on thsoe. Keep post bai! Kenneth |

actually there is already some dust buryed in the clear coat~ so sad.
but yeh, now just waiting for the clear to dry so i can start polising~ and still not finding any will power to complete the f40's interior and chassie~ y am i so lazy >< look forward to see ur challenge soon dude |

but neither of these colors suit the 288 i think~ so im proly gonna go back to the basic~~ red~ haha~ gotta make a red ferrari at some point..... |

Bai,
The modeler's 2000 compound is good but if you try using the tamiya fine compound then the finishing compound accordingly after the modeler's 2000. You will even see that it gives you better shine and clearity in you reflections. Go and try it. |

kenneth,
i did do that~ but in a different order to what you mentioned. this time, i tried our a few new things in polishing, first of all i sanded away the orange peel and followed up all the way to 3000 grit sand paper, then i went straight to tamiya fine compound, then 2000, then finishing, and finally i used tamiya polising wax to finish off. im really happy with the f40 now, but more work required on the 430 i guess. thanks for the tip buddy |
