some updates on the current build. Sorry for the LQ image quality. These are taken from my camera phone.

This is the exhaust pipe added with some detail. four socket connector and springs added. I've overdo the heat stain but i'll leave it as it is for now.

Rossi 46 decal from tabu design added and clear coated. The original tamiya kit does not provide this version.

Some detail are added to the engine part. where cf decal are applied to some small areas. and crazy modeler p.e is applied to the clutch.

Rear swing arm are filled. colored with black and decal are applied.

Front fork is added with more detail using some p.e set and the caliper connector are replaced.

Wah... good build and excellent detail there Feizar. Keep up the good work.

A little teeny weeny comments here... the insides of the rear swing arms looks a bit rough. You did mention that you fill the insides of the swing arms but a bit more sanding will improve the overall look. But no problem... It won't be visible after all when the tyres are put in place.

More updates please... biggrin.gif

Thanks for the comment druid.. although it is teeny weeny for you it means a lot to me.. hehe, really appreciate it. biggrin.gif

Yeah i noticed that too.. the surface are not too well sanded. This is because i've spend many times of filling and sanding and i got a bit of a problem when the plastic part became soft and looks like it is melted. sad.gif Maybe because i've used too much putty and it soften the plastic part.

I then fixed the melted part and some weld detail were lost. I have to repair some cracked area and recreated the weld seams. Then i've come to a point when i think i dont want to make it more messy. hehe.. sometimes i tend to repair some error but it became worse.. so i think that would be enough for now.

Maybe i'll try to do better with my future work. smile.gif

Rather than using only putty to fill in the swing arms, another alternative is to fill it in with plastic sheets before applying the putty. This will reduce the amount of putty thus reduce the melting of the parts.

Another alternative is by using epoxy or two-part putty which is not a thinner-based and will not harm the plastic.

Keep up the good work. wink.gif

Yes, styrene sheet would be better to replicate thoose aluminium swing arm of the real thing. THere are welding inside the swing arm too..Did you fill up the delta box chasis as well? I bought the Topstudio upgrade set too, but yet to start the project. Intend to buy the ZX-RR upgrade set too...I simply got hook to its quality of upgrade from Topstudio..This guy is superb!

Thanks for the info cupcai. I did not fill the chassis coz i'm afraid i might ruin it. So i'll leave it as it is for now. I saw the new upgrade for zx-rr kit too.. plus the rc211v upgrade.. maybe.. just maybe i wanted the yzr 2004 upgrade too.. haha.. but right now i'm expecting my first child this coming june. So i needed to reserve some money for the expenses. smile.gif. It'll be great if someone has started to build it.

As for the promised image.. i tried to snap some pic using my phone. but the parts are too small so the image is blurry. I've to borrow my brother's camera first then i could snap some decent image for you guys.

been very busy with work lately... so there arent much progress to show you all.. i'll resume working on the bike at end of the month unsure.gif

I've ordered another two pair of yzr's with rossi camel livery decal and valencia 2005 decal to make this build more interesting.

Together with my existing yzr-m1 2004 rossi gauloises , yzr-m1 2005 intercolouring edition and his honda nsr500. i' intend to do a rossi combo build. laugh.gif Just thinking of it makes me drool... aaah really need some time to do modelling.. but work is work. I still need cash to buy the models am i right? tongue.gif

see ya.
