dude.. there's no 100% warrant even from the most experience modeller..
using 100% hobby products still have that 0.01% of disaster strikes..

test 1st is most important in case of new product/paint usage..

the basis of can spray is always "less is more" laugh.gif

actaully using clear coat is to protect the colour being fade.

that is not quite true.. clear coated still ur color may yellow or fade depending how ur kit is kept.

ericmaxman..
druid_99 is using industrial clear (but he applied wt airbrush wink.gif )
are u suggesting his car kit not glossy rolleyes.gif

hehehe.. j/k..
of course i would agree without polishing naturally tamiya clear would be already quite glossy.. but virtually all painted car need to be polished for satisfactory shine smile.gif

Whether the clear coat shines or not depends on how you apply it. I've been using industrial clear since forever and I never get unfavorable shine (except during the first few trials during the early times).

If the finish below is not shiny enough, maybe industrial clear coat is really not that good lah... but I will still use it though... laugh.gif

Sometimes it is not the brand... most of the time it is how it it used or handled... smile.gif

industrial and modeling can sprays different is industrial paints are rougher and bigger particles for pearl paint.
i personally love the anchor clear coat because it shines pretty well.... so the statement is invalid to me that industrial is not good rolleyes.gif

i agree with druid_99, its not the problem with the type of paint. it's the modeler problem

although i never used ANCHOR Clear Coat on any model.. but i have to agree that this industrial clear coat is indeed shiny..

i've used in on some varnished-doors and man!!... this industrial clear coat sure give the door its shiny-"ness"

also i saw my brother use this clear coat on my sister's plastic bicycle rims.. and it very shiny...

so have to agree on druid-99 and cham2020 last statement up there tongue.gif tongue.gif

eric, i would say tamiya's clear can spray are easier to use compare industrial one, so u get a better result imo, maybe u should buy few industrial can spray to practice laugh.gif , i think cham also use industrial clear, looks good to me happy.gif
