Built it before.
It is a sparsely detailed kit and some inaccuracies here and there, e.g., the trailing edge flaps panel lines are way off, and the instrument panel is fictional. But all of these can be easily fixed. Fit isn't that good, plastic is pebbly and the panel liness are vague in some areas - mold probably very worn out. But it definitely looks like a F/A-18 when it's finished, and good results can be produced with some work. I built one as a F/A-18D a few years back. Also packaged under Testors label. |

Guys
don't forget the Monogram/Revell F-18A/C hornet kits. Those had really good overall shape for the 1 seater version. It was really easy to build as well in wheels down position. my 2 cents worth Ken |

Kim Wong, tumpang my Hornet question here pls...
I have a HobbyBoss 1/48 F/A-18C which I want to build as the NASA's White Hot Hornet. Any comments on my choice of kit? After reading the replies, I fear I have made a bad decision on the base model. |
