2010 is coming to an end. I started a trend early this year about our wishlist. I had a list of things which I wanted and got most of them.. except those which was not out in the market yet..

The battle fought in the best way I could and I am counting the battle damage now.. RM3K......... for the year...avg of RM250 a month! wacko.gif

Can I go lesser next year? Nah..... Too many new ones to go for.... tongue.gif

Bring ON 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! laugh.gif

Having hold my spending on 1/6 military action figures until mid Sept, I've made a come back to scale modelling with no regrets whatsoever. Hope next year, I'm able to get more model kits if time permits.

It's been a good model hunting year for me.

Manage to get some of my most wanted kits like the 1/48 Viggen, B-1B Rockwell, Avro Lancaster and Blackbird. Hasegawa reissued the IDF F-16 kits which makes a great addition to my stash. Lets not forget Kinetic's offering too!

Kotobukiya have realized some of my dream by producing the Virtual-On series in 1/100 scale. No more variations from Hasegawa! Bandai's MG GunTank is a pleasant surprise as well.

Still wanting to get a Moebius Model's SeaView from Irwin Allen's "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea" in 1/128 scale. It comes with the minisub as well!

What to expect next year? As of now, I'm looking forward for Volks' Five Star Stories kit: the 1/100 The Bang and 1/100 Vatshu.

after more than 15 years as a lonely modeller, I made breakthroughs in 2009.

The story is this. Shortly after CNY, the shop at Atria is giving up his 1/32 scale aircrafts. Because still have angpow money, I bought the Tamiya 1/32 F-15C for RM 300. Then... my wedding at the end of June. I decided to hunt for PE parts for the F-15 and clear decal sheets to make the F-15C as a memorial of my wedding.... I went sign up on ebay.

There's a sudden shock to see so much of model yummies on ebay, ranging from accessories, figures of all brands, PE & Resin parts, custom scuptor molded in metal & resin, etc.... my credit card started to crack.

Luckily, I met Apseong on Ebay and he introduced me to this fabulous forum.

Joining this forum, coming next is Tog Tan's sales.... another hole burnt in my pocket. Not to mention other modellers selling their stuffs. Most notable is the CMK Morser Karl Ammunition Carrier from Silantra (thanks bro!)

This year is the year I spent the most on models, but I could get models that I really want.... not those which I am able to grab from limited stores.

Being able to meet more friends here, sure kena racun one, as 1 of the factor of getting new model kits. This year starting off 2 Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen IV, Italeri Ford Maultier, both Tamiya & DML's Jagdpanther, I think I shall close this year with a Trumpeter Sdkfz 7 with Flakvierling but who knows with another 1 more month to go.

Been a great year for me, both modelling and non-modelling wise.

Have bought a total of 44 kits this year but the ones I really want have not been released yet. High on my list is the Galactica Viper MkII (which I've already pre-ordered smile.gif ) and the 1/24 FW-190A.

I have also started to explore ideas and try a few first-time stuff like custom decals and scratchbuilding. Next on the list will be lighting. Definately gonna try that for my Colonial Viper next year.

Also finally made my dream destination (Japan!) where by happy coincidence, I came face-to-face with the 1:1 scale Gundam smile.gif

Looking forward to what 2010 will bring!

For kit hunting...it has been a good year (2008 was better). For kit building....lousy....apart from 1/35 scale artillery....production line very quiet....too many things spoiling the mood including lack of workspace....but i expect production to shift up many gears soon, God willing.....

Going back to the kit hunting....the following was fun...
1/72 Twin Pioneer
1/48 TSR2
1/350 Repulse....(anyone wanna sell their Prince of wales?) tongue.gif
1/32 Swordfish
1/32 EE Lightning (waiting for F2A/F6 version)
1/48 Canberras...now the 1/72 stuff have come out, what am i gonna do with the 48th scale stuff dry.gif
1/72 Canberras...those Model Alliance and Model decals will have to be used now...
Surprise was the 1/24 Hurricane and Bf109 and 1/32 F-5E (thanks Kenny!!)
Also fun was recent purchase of Revell Star Wars easy kits...my 6yr old daughter and i had a lot of fun last weekend. Finished 3 kits in less than 1 hr total. Now she has Obiwan and Anakin chasing the Sith warrior around the house biggrin.gif

Talking about decals
Got myself almost 80% of the Modeldecal series....now moving to Model Alliance and Xtradecal...... wacko.gif

I think i got almost 90% of my overall wishlist....so...don't expect to get more stuff except for Sea Vixen/DH Venom/DH Vampires and 1/350 HMS Renown or British carriers...or maybe Trumpys 1/24 Hurricane.....soo gatal.....(here we go again!)

This year is definitely overspending year for me.

with 3 trips to hongkong, 1 trip to japan + the magnificant Sale (Clayton).........

I bought more kits than i did for last 2 years, combined.

Think of it, it's fun, but not really a good thing though. Stash is overflowing..........

This year has been good and bad for me.

Bad, because I lost my job due to bad economy where I live. I had to sell a ton of my unbuilt kits collection. Mostly stuff I would never build.

Good, because I got to build for the first time in 10 years. In 2009 so far I built 30 kits. I also bought a few more kits and pieces from selling my collection. After selling my unwanted stuff I afford the stuff I really wanted.

I joined this site and had the pleasure of seeing so many awesome builds and inspire me to build more.

2009 will be surely the most pok kai year for me ever, never been so sui before. Spend less than RM5 per month on modeling (A can of flat coat as i can remember), but super huge damage on over budget renovation (Coz trusted wrong person), thief broke in, and many more incidents.

But i did exchange something with voucher from Mr. Low, thank you very much Mr. Low!

For new kits building, i manage to finish 2 new kits which is Panzer 1 and Uh1d Heer. For repaint project, i had finished Merkava 4. Guess more will come before 2010.

Because of still in pok kai condition, if i can buy at least 2~3 dream kits in the coming year, then i feel satisfy already. wacko.gif
