Saw this person's work at starship modeller that's worth showing here. Loved how he did his "wrecked and abandoned" Viper, esp. the damages to the little ship and how the foliage is growing over the wreck. Pictures were taken by his iPhone - not bad eh?

Wow! Good find there Ryoga... I don't think I'm able to sacrifice the Viper for this diorama...

Me too dry.gif but if one takes the risk and the outcome is good .... wow! Personally I like it when someone comes up with something different like this. Everyone else (including me) would be doing a normal Viper with variance to either colours, some detail work and decals ... this one really stay in the mind for a while

Well, That's a good inspiration to "resurrect" old/failure/practice/incomplete/junk models and make it into a wreck diorama. Can experiment and practice various weathering technique as well.

A beautifully weathered and well wrecked Viper. I like the dust covered canopy.

No offence meant to the dio maker just some curious observations. From a purely diorama perspective if the Viper got shot down, it must have crashed, if it did crash how come the ground around it is not churned up as the Viper must have surely ploughed up the ground on crashing. Even it the crash took place a long time ago and the soil covered up itself over time the Viper should be sunk in a bit more into the ground. Notice the Starboard wing shows no damage whatsoever and very minimal scratches and dents. Doing more damage on and around the Viper would have given the dio more of a storyline and generate more interest to look more closely. Just my 2 cts.

Thanks Ryoga for putting this one up.
