hi there,

it is a very nice model that you had built. i had also the same model, Prince of Wales, 1/700 and wish to build it that nice too! biggrin.gif And being new to ship modelling, i hope you can share with me your experience on the building process.

Can i check how you do up the model in stages? Do you take out the relevant parts from the sprues, sand/patch it first and then, put into soapy water to wash it? There are alot of small parts, i am unsure if taking it out from the spruce will cause confusion later as how to assemble them together..Do you subsequently paint it while it is on the sprue? (am concern that some part may have paint and then difficult to glue together without sanding the nice paint away, wasting effort and time)

do you airbrush the model? do you put on the primer? how you do the camoflage?

Thanks and sorry for so many questions.. laugh.gif

First i have to thank you about your Q.
I fallow by instruction
paint
1. by hand and brush for difficult camoflage
2. after that i use clear over spray by airbursh
3. i used white color over spray
4. after that i use flat clear over spray
