Hi I'm currently doing the tracks for this kit but there's one problem:

I'M RUNNING OUT OF TRACKS!!! unsure.gif

I think I've done it wrong or there weren't enough provided
I managed to cover the lower half of the tank but have not enough tracks to cover the top.

Is there an option to scratchbuild side skirts to cover the mistake? but would that be inaccurate for Israeli shermans for that period?

Get AFV Club spare tracks for sherman HVSS. Anyway is this new kit or second hand? By right the tracks are enough for both suspension. If yours is short another way is try asking from Dragon. They do send replacement the last time. Do not know whether this time they do.

Hi,

I don't have this kit but I made up my tracks for the M-51 conversion from the Dragon HVSS track kit and I think there should be more than 4 sprues. I'll have to check once I get home.

Got any picture of what you've done on the tracks?

Cheers,
Richard

Guys,

4 sprues should be enough as I checked I had 4 and there were some left over as well. Mine says 158 individual track links. Count yours.

Remember that Shermans don't usually have slack in their tracks.

Richard

Warhammer,

Take a look at my thread in the AFV GB to see my HVSS tracks.

The M50 uses M4A4 chassis maybe longer a bit then the M51. However you can can get the AFV M26 track link if the HVSS sudah habis.

Banderkt7 could be right if it's the M4A4 hull and chassis. I always thought the HVSS suspension was based on the M4A3 hull?

Mis-calculation by the manufacturer I guess.

I seriously still think that I need at least half a sprue more dry.gif

I've taken a look at both your build and mine and noticed that the spacing in between your road wheels are further apart. This is due to the M4A4 hull being longer.

You should have at least one more sprue set to complete your tracks. Oversite by the manufacturer.

Cheers,
Richard
