Seelinglim,

Look at the tree top branch without leaves which stick to the heli gear... my guess that's the culprit.

Hi guys

Thanks for the positive feedback

@Yaminz, all the vegetation are made as follows:

- pokok kelapa : check out the tutorial by Chaz Young on Armorama.com. The only difference are the leaves which are made from paper and small copper cables

- pokok besar : the trunks are made from 4mm electrical cables which are then wrapped in masking tape before applying tree bark paste. Dahan2 yg kecik tu adalah seafoam, and the leaves are Noch's leaf scatter

- pokok biasa : the same method as the big trees except for the leaves which are Javis foliage (method yang paling cepat and mudah)

- rumput : made form hemp and sprayed with different shades of green. Holes are drilled into the base, then insert and spread the hemp accordingly

@ Seelianglim : I drilled a hole at the bottom of the helicopter's skid, and I used one of the copper cables as a mount

Hope the above help smile.gif

Good to see a new Diorama for a change.

Like the trees and the perspective.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks guys

@richard; to be perfectly honest I wanted to take some close up shots of the soldiers but unfortunately the photos from my digital camera turned out to be blurry. Nampak nye kena invest camera baru......aduii duit lg sad.gif

@mr.b; after six months of sitting on the shelf (half done) I decided to once and for all to finish it. Glad that I did though biggrin.gif

regards

Excellent work, Mojo72!

It looks as if it is a scene right out of the pages of the book "Snake Pilot" by Randy Zahn (a former AH-1G Cobra pilot during the Vietnam war).

The OH-6A went in really low to observe the terrain, while the Cobras kept close watch at all times to protect it.

A very well planned & composed dio Mojo72. Its got one of the major feature that us diorama kakis love, multi level composition. You have your well elevated heli thats one level. The canopy of the jungle another. Ground level action and slightly below ground action forming 2 other levels. Multi level composition gives the viewer lots to focus on.
