Darn , you beat me to it.... biggrin.gif

btw bro are you sure you want to cut the JU88 to half?..its a bit sayang la. the cockpit is 1st class, there is an early version that uses a full Ju88 A-1 and Fw190A, also can use Me109G.
dont worry about markings bro...early experiments uses avaiable aircrafts in hand, some even had their markings painted over.

and watch out for this hasegawa FW....the fitting is a bit crappy.

Shah - Only the long fuse is given, which is fine with me....i like how it looks biggrin.gif

Ari - Haha, I bought the Ju88 specially to do this project...kinda like the big bomb in front. Looks weird and garang . As for the Hase FW 190, i got it for RM 50 so cant complain, will do what I can biggrin.gif

Xamel - Bagi chance la skali skala haha.....makin tua makin malas tongue.gif

if thats the case...potong la. no waste actually...can use the whole front section as a cut away display .

i do have the 1/72scale version of this Mistel combination and yup the warhead is big and impressive. build halfway and cant decide what scheme to paint....thanks to the crappy decals provided..and no swastika.

surprise the Fw190 is just rm50...thats the 80s price bro. too bad it doesnt come with an engine or else can open the hood and show the inside.
i would suggest you do some extra work on Fw190 as the Ju88 will look pretty plain with the warhead on, and try to do this slowly bro...at this scale alot of details will be exposed.

Hi Landy,
This Fw190 boxing you have is a Jurassic classic kit - if possible sell it off and save some extra ringgit to get this one instead:

This one is a completely new kit and will be at par with your Ju 88

Cheers

Hi Landy,
I agree that the Jurassic bird has a full engine detail and wish you all the best bringing it up to your usual excellent standard of building and finishing.

So what happens if masterqq is asked to build a post 1990 model kit? Does he explode?biggrin.gif

Cheers

No worries Masterqq, old skool is still cool - I just wished I now had more time modify/correct/detail them - these days I just glue and paint modern kits to achieve what I want. Cry.gif

OK, started looking at this build....

JU88 kit - what to say, cutting edge Revell of 2 years ago. Cockpit is very detailed, taking up almost 1/3 of the instruction sheet, but im not using any of it.
user posted image

The resin conversion set gives the whole works - bomb, new engines, wing tips, ailerons, tail fun, rudder, PE and white metal details etc. Moulding quality is generally good, but some clean up needed. However, the instruction sheet is very basic with little guidance on painting, decals etc.

Da Bomb

I got some metal U/C - the whole thing will weigh a ton with all that resin
user posted image

FW190 kit is cutting edge Hase of 30 years ago - will need some work to improve
user posted image
user posted image

Gian to cut plastic so started with some simple surgery - chop the nose shorter to mate with the bomb

Research still in progress....
