Hi guys , this is my entry for the CWGB. The Martin P6M2 Seamaster.I love the shape of this plane. This is the pre production model , unfortunstely it was scrapped before it went into service.
Mach2 is a company run by a guy who does injection molding in his garage.I think this is his
Latest kit so its as advanced for him.The instructions is only 2 pages with no numbers.
The plastic is a bit soft and detail is basic . On the plus points the shape is good
and the alternative is an Anigrand Resin kit.
Another minus , lots of gaps to fill , I m the Last Man Sanding.
Canopy windows all wrong , I had to sand with 400 then 1000 then 2000 then polishing compound
and finally I futured it.

Cockpit done , I added throttles n levers.

EngHui,

Is it a ground effect vehicle like the Ekranoplan? The shape and characteristics looks like it. For a 1/72 that looks huge. Mine will be 1/100 scale though... smile.gif

Encik Hitam , thanks bro , Saya suka pelik dan menarik.

Thanks Lando , I know the sub , but what's a FF?Me n buds can hold hands
anytime.

Imran , no its not a ground effect, does look like one though.
Ya it's enormous in 1/72.

Kenny , I pass to u back later

Every single step had to be puttied , the fit is ok but there is gaps
everywhere .Major assemblies put together , engines not glued yet.

Added some rear engine detail using Phantom turbines
and brass tube
user posted image

I had to sand off all the canopy detail since it was wrong so the
canopy had to be reframed.first the template.

Then mask the actual windows.

dato.. biggrin.gif

on the last photo... preshade using black or dark grey?
the undercoat straight white or using the specialize Base white?

user posted image

sorry just need to ask.. biggrin.gif
my last venture into white underside resulted me using quite a few layer of white paint to cover the "black" pre-shade.... try to avoid that next time.. biggrin.gif

Wow! Looking like some James Bond type plane.

Nice and big. It does look like one of those sea planes that don't fly but glides above water.

Cheers,
Richard
