Started today 1st of Aug 2012

Kit is of sufficent size and looks very promising for a fast build............only the runner pins are very mah fun....as they as with most Chinese kits interfear with mating surface.....anyways.....aim to finish by Hari Raya holidays.......if all goes well...........and if cari makan does not delay too much........smile.gif

As for markings and build totally OOB with only maybe some self made belts and hoses in the cockpit.........

Wish me luck folks

Go aneh....

BTW sorry to say, I always thought compared to Sabre or Shooting Star this looks so primitive basic and unsexy, as if they just took the prop off a P47 and shoved in a jet engine. laugh.gif

Of course, I'm sure sure you will make a sterling job of it

For me this plane is much more streamlined than the Jug, then again it has
straight wings.Agreed that B-man will to a Spiffy Job.

It's like an elongated bowling pin going backwards.

Actually not too bad looking when it's flying. The front undercarraige is the culprit...set too far forward. I guess the old feeling of the upward angle with tail wheel still strong with designer and pilot.

The Saber is still the best looking for the era but the Shooting Star reminds me of a Sperm whale.

No dought B will make this look changgih. Don't forget the different panel shades ah.

Cheers,
Richard

Yooo QQ - Yeah it is a bit on the oversize bit.........very hard to make smaller.......with my giant fingers.......smile.gif ha ha aha - passable when in situ I think........

Mr Germ - Yes .....base then dry brush then take 000 brush and paint some details......for this kit, the task is much easier as the knobs all of sufficent size.....model master is enamel paint........so yes must dilute.........first time tried with Hobby HQ thinner.........results not too bad........but airbrush clogs a bit.....

Overall aim is to complete the sub assamblies by weekend........

Best Regards
