It's a long time since I tried figures... I still think my skills for figures are somewhat lacking. But after watching 800 Heroes (again..), Everlasting Glory and one movie about Macro Polo Bridge Incident (too bad I can't read chinese, no subtitles..), I had to build some figures based on the NRA (National Revolutionary Army)..So, please don't laugh at my feeble attempts at building and painting figures...

I plab to build the 88th NRA, part of the few divisions totally trained and equipped like the German Whermacht..

My choice of using the Dragon's Germania Regiment boxing is logical, 1st, all the weapons supplied in the box were used by the NRA, the KAR98K, ZB vz. 26, Mp34(the Mp18/28 looks similar) and stick grenades and 2nd the uniforms were early ww2, so easier to modify...

Thanks, Kirin. Still learning the basics of figure painting... It seems like I have still got a lot to learn.
You can actually convert using early ww2 or late ww1 German figures as the uniform is somewhat similar except you need to add the puttees and remove certain insignia and the shoulder slipons.. Helmets, u could use the German, British Brodie, French Adrian or us m1 for late war...

I like it Kenny , and I'm glad you posted it.
The red cloth looks worn n to scale , the figure's face
still looks German though.
By the way , I saw a dress you might like to buy for your wife.

Hi! The uniform colour is actually light green For German trained Chinese Nationalist army in early stage fighting (shanghai 800 heroes).

Perhaps your figure shows a chinese army at later stage where uniform materials wass hard to get. therefore wearing the typical blueish grey.

GREAT JOB on your conversion.

Just my 2 cents

Thank you, cptan. I did notice that those troops actually wore the green type uniform and some units wore khaki. I was trying to follow the blue-grey uniform shown in the movie 800 heroes...hehehe, so much for accuracy as they were shown using m14s in the movie...
