[Sara Isabel Oakland]

Sara scowled at her lunch prospects. Either eat the boring peanut butter sandwich and apple she'd packed, or scrounge some change and get something out of the machine. Wanting to save her money for the weekend's activities, Sara decided to eat the sandwich for now.

Skirting through the crowd in the cafeteria, she found an empty table to sit at. She faced out towards the hall, in case Willa, Lisa or even Lex came by. Munching on the sandwich, she memorized her Latin vocabulary for her test later that afternoon.

"Well, hello there." said a bald man, walking over to Sara's table. "This seat taken?" He asked as he looked around the cafeteria. Well, Lex didn't normally have a group table, so he always just sat with Sara, Lisa, and some other girl he didn't seem to know.

He wasn't about to bring up the kiss that happened before. He hoped maybe she would. Something told him she'd have question. He hated questions, but he'd, unfortantally, answer them.

"Hey, Lex. Of course not. You know you can sit there anytime, " Sara smiled brightly, the kissing incident already forgotten in her mind. "Though there is a charge today. You have to quiz me on my Latin vocab." She giggled and handed a small stack of cards to him.

Lex smirked, taking the cards as he sat down. He said, "Great.. 'Cause you know I'm so great at latin." He said, smirking.

"you'd better be. Lisa can't even pronounce them, so I had no help there," Sara munched on her sandwich.

Lex never really ate lunch. He never thought a human needed it, but he never told anyone his opinion. He laughed, saying, "Well, seeings as I've got what a C in that class, I might be better then Lisa. Emphasis on the might." Lex never failed his classes... only Latin.

"With all the languages you speak? or is that with the help of Berliotz?" Sara laughed lightly. She had been uptight about this test all day.

Lex laughed, saying, "Well, Spanish was easy, along with French,German, Finish, and Japanese. But Latin is the one language I suck at." He said, smiling.

"Oh! Finnish and japanese...hmmm...they look complicated in writing. At least Latin's looks like English to a point," she was thoughtful. "But then English spoken here is different than Australia which is totally different than England."

[Lex Joseph Erikson]

Lx laughed, saying, "Ahh.. I had some fancy instructor my dad hired. In Latin I have a teacher that has athlets foot. Big difference." He smirked. "I'm alos kind of confused." He said, as she tried to figure out these different languages and there connections.

Sara tried to think of an example. "We call it the loo down under. You call it the bathroom here. It's a lorry in England and down under, where it's a truck here."

"Oh.. I understand now." He said, a grin on his face. A laugh excaped his moth.
