Shady Shores This is the place where stallions and mares come together to breed. It is very neutral, there are some light areas and some dark. The light bits have wonderful white sand, and palm trees that offer shade. The dark bits, however, have very grainy, brown sand, and there are rather a lot of pebbles which make it even harder to run on. There are several wilted palm trees, but they do not give much shade. The rules for breeding are in the OOC section, so go read them before coming here. Once you and your mate have bred, your foal's stats will be posted here, and then the dam may go back to her herdlands and foal there. Bloodstains Gorge The battlefield - a dusty, neutral-looking place, though it is faintly stained with the blood of the horses that have battled here. Tough, craggy sides make it impossible to climb and escape death, so once you are down, there is no escape, apart from the narrow path that slips between two leaning sides. Fights shall be watched over in OOC by White Raven. If you break the rules, the other character wins. If they do not reply in any situation within 5 real days, then the land/mare/position is yours. Restoring River Have you been hurt, or are you seriously wounded? Come here after a fight, and the river will heal you almost completely in mind, body and soul. The Stained Falls lie nearby, so watch it... there may be some angry spirits wanting revenge on the Dark Lord and Lady... But sometimes, if you're lucky, you may see a ghostly white horse gallop towards you through the water, and reach out to touch you. From then on, you will have been blessed by Mother Nature. Claiming Canyon The name says it all. This is where loners will come once they enter the lands, or they can simply go up to the herd itself. You cannot intend a certain lead to come and claim you here, though. Remember, you must be polite, Light, Dark or Neutral, to a Lead when they greet you. It is especially advised you do not try to insult a Dark. But, Lights are generally nice, and they will probably ignore an insult, though several might get annoyed. Mares, beware. Autumn Plains This small terra is very attractive in Autumn. The reds and oranges and yellows come to life, their vibrant, bright colours livening up the Free Lands. A large lake lies in the centre of it, floribunda flowers growing in large clusters round the sides. Foaling Fields Straight after the parents breed in Shady Shores, they MUST post their stats here after a week from then. They also have a week to complete their stats - or the foal will not be born. Peacful Meadows Peaceful Meadows is the place where motherless foals go to find a new mpther. It iss always peacful here, no fighting is allowed. The foal is allowed to decide if he/she goes with the adoption mother or not. |

Starlight Meadows Starlight Meadows - it is beautiful, tranquil, and bright. Handsome flowers are scattered all around, and there is often a clear rainbow hanging over this land when the rain has fallen. Overrall, this is a wonderful place, and makes a lovely home for foals and mothers. This is also where the Light Lord, White Raven, resides. Tear-drop Caverns A cavern's mouth is the welcoming sight to you, narrow and slippy. But inside you will see a lovely crystal cavern, with a small pathway leading down to a large enclosure, where a small icy pool lies. The water is very refreshing to drink from, and there is a small ray of light that touches the surface. Around the edges, a little bit of grass grows. The Light Alpha resides here. Vale of Whispers This beautiful vale is surrounded by willow trees that form a small glade filled with lush grass and many wild flowers. A lake covers the centre of it, providing a good water source for the herd that lives here. A small river trickles out of the end, which goes on to the Lavender Hills. According to the rumours, the Vale is said to be whispering to you, but there is usually no-one making a noise. Lavender Hills As the name suggests, these hills are absoloutely covered with lavender of all different colours - purple, blue, green, and lots more. Try not to eat the lavender though, it will make you ill! To help this, there are small areas of lush grass. Obscure Oasis In the middle of a boiling-hot desert lies a beautiful oasis, filled with lush grass, a sparkling clear waterfall, and beautiful views. It is alive with flowers and birdsong during Spring and Summer, so overall, this is one of the lands that is favoured by most equines. The Leaders here will usually be quite happy to allow you inside, so this is a good herd to join. Cyprus Cave The Cyprus Cave, a beautiful terrain never lacking grass or color from the ever-beautiful flowers in summer. Daisies and irises, mostly. The herd is lined with tall, majestic cyprus trees which are beautiful even capped with snow in the wintertime. A view of the southern lands can be seen from here. There is no fresh water here, but the rain is constant in spring and the juicyness of the grass makes up for this. But how could you not love a place, where it seems unbiased? Lakes of Mist The Lakes of Mist consist of two lakes that have a constant fog surrounding them. Grass is abundant and lush in the lands, where neutrals enjoy freedom and peace. No known predators or threats surround the alpha and alphena of these lands. Kalt Cove Kalt is the German word for cold and that is exactly what this place is. The water and beach are icy even in the heat of summer. The lead knows the few warm places where food is in abundance as well as where the fresh water is. Magma Cone This herd sits on the slopes of an active volcano... It is suggested you run to Kalt Cove if it ever explodes. The landscape is very craggy and dry; few plants and grass grow around this area, though there is a small grazing ground at the base of the volcano, where a stream runs into the Stained Falls. If you are not careful and slip, you could fall into the lava and die instantly. Stained Falls These Falls have been stained with the blood of others who have been unmercifully tortured here. A great number of equines have been tossed over the edge down an almighty drop, and sharp rocks lie at the bottom. If you join this herd, then watch your back, because you might await a gruesome death if they find you untrustworthy. Black Bay This water is rumoured to be polluted by chemicals that have been washed ashore when, many years ago, a passing oil tanker crashed on a supposedly invisible sharp rock, and oil spilled out into the Bay. Equines are forced to drink it if they have been dis-loyal to their herd and Alpha, and then they will await a slow poisoning. Catastrophe Mountain A steep mountain that is incredibly hard to climb. In the winter, harsh cold winds scream on the west side, and it is pretty likely to blow you right off the other side. Only the Lead here knows exactly when the wind is coming, and when to shelter under a rock outcrop out of harm's way. Stronghold Hills Humongous hills surround this deep valley, and sheltering it from the battering winds that blow towards the Catastrophe Mountains. It almost forms a sort of castle because of the leaning sides that almost form a canopy over it, hence the name 'Stronghold Hills'. Dark Forest Day or Night, this forest is always gloomy and gothic, the sun or moon's light barely touches the terra. Wolves often stalk through the darkness, preying on unsuspecting foals and sick elders. Many may leave for longing of open space; this place is confined and lonely, lying between Stronghold Hills and Bloodstains Gorge. So, it is best to be on your guard at all times when in this herd. And the Leaders don't like equines walking over their boundaries... It is pretty nice of them if they throw you down the Gorge, so keep in mind there are worse punishments.. such as wolves eating you alive, for they are always hungry...
