Hearing rumors that a new guitar player, Heath Clark, has joined the band. Again, just what I read and I'm wondering if anyone else has heard the same thing?

Don't know ... he did leave Vallejo last fall. Sorry I don't have any inside scoop... maybe someone reading from Austin can help out. I love that rumor though - would love the TX connection!

Heath was voted #2 on the Top 15 Best Electric Guitarists at the Austin Music Awards (placing behind Eric Johnson, and ahead of Henry Garza (Los Lonely Boys). And has been in the Top 10 for the past six years.

He seems like he was made to join this band...married with a 1 year old baby boy (Emma will be in SUCH trouble with all these boys around ;) ), likes "his time with the Lord" and it looks like he likes Corvettes Chris.... smiley_car And the person that posted about him references his old band as "brothers" - perfect fit I think.

Agreed Lisa! Welcome Heath - I can't wait to hear you play! It seems that many (if not all) of the tv appearances that I've seen Bo perform in, they (whoever "they" are) don't seem to want Bo to play the guitar (just sing). So, obviously in these instances another guitar player can definitely come in handy! Bo - PLEASE don't stop playing guitar, though. I obviously LOVE to hear you sing, but you always seem (and sound) like you are most at home with your guitar in your arms - and you play AWESOME! That's my only concern - is if Heath replaces Bo's guitar playing (not saying he's going to). Bo goes with his guitar like peanut butter goes with jelly! I would also like to see Bo do some more harmonica if possible. Bo always takes me on an awesome mental "vacation" when he starts on his harmonica! I can feel all the tension just unwind from my body!!!

I'm loving the addition of Heath Clark to the group! Vallejo - as it's name would suggest - is a very popular Texas band with latin roots. We know Bo likes Los Lobos as well, so he obviously appreciates latin music, and I would love to hear an original from Bo with some of this influence. Very nice choice, Bo. Welcome Heath!

Really liking the Tex Mex flavor of one of those Heath tracks. I'm a Los Lobos fan and like stuff like the Gypsy Kings and Manolos.

You know what I find funny about the whole thing? (and I mean funny as in I want to laugh) Is that we, as S$ fans, were finding ourselves in the position of literally defending the obvious fact that S$ is worthy of playing with Bo. Now it's come down to making additions to S$ because they are so well received.

read some of the bio info, and listened to your music. You sound like another well-grounded, solid member for SugarMoney, whom we all love *heart* like family. Hi Y'All!!! Everyone that likes Bo, SHOULD get to know Heath!
I am Jamie and live in Killeen, Texas BUT travel Quite frequently to Ausitn (~45-67 miles away), and am part of the Vallejo La Familia.
Was 1st introduced to Vallejo in the fall off '99 but lost track of them as I was in Military Test Support for ~2½ years. After the close deaths of my beloved Gallompagus (War Lord Dobbie of 16¼ years) and my youngest Brother (@23), I decided to break from many of my old ways and used Live Music as a Band-Aid for my Spirit. A chance of a free benefit, multi-band concert that featured Vallejo (now fully with Heath replacing Bruse Castleberry on guitar).
That started an Oddessy, that over the past 2 years, representing over 29K miles in 140+ shows (including soon to be my 3rd Cabo trip w/Vallejo [Gonna miss Ya, Heath]), has allowed me to meet Many of the Big Austin/Texas various band members. Of those shows, 37 are Vallejo gigs. I got to know everyone well enough that on the 1st Cabo flight there, Andre (the Stage Manager/Jack-of-All-Trades) gave me the, Ever After, band knick of "HAT!" I wore (still do on VERY special Vallejo/Dirty Wormz shows) a silly/goofy/cool/festive/etc. modified Authentic German OcktoberFest hat.
Of all the subsequent band members that I have come to know, on varying levels, Heath is By Far THE nicest, most personable, Down to Earth, Great Guy of the bunch.
However, Da Boy can WAIL!!!!!!!!!!!! (said in Little Richard voice hehe) on the Ge-Tar!!!!!
So whether you want to hear some Killer Licks or meet a Mui Fabuloso Hombrè OR Both, Go see Bice and say Hi to Heath . He'll at least say Hey thanks for coming AND Mean It!!

And if Ya do see him, Tell him that Jamie (of the Bocephus glasses) says SO Great to see You on THE Stage!!!
