Well, our boy put on another great show last night. His voice was all strong and growly and good . . .
I did have to work a little yesterday but headed to Troy at about 2:00, got there at about 4:00 and there was Bill, Suedel, Jackie from Baltimore, lmccrae (Laurie from Canada), Grapper, Patty (PMC) and a few others from bb.com. There was a pub connected to the venue so I'd made a reservation for dinner so that we could be well nourished for the show. Unfortunately I can't remember all the titles but Gary did a few songs that I hadn't heard him sing before. He was in great voice but the venue had that stage smoke stuff going on . .. it was starting to get to him . . . frankly it also wreaked havoc with the photos I was trying to take w/my digital camera. Thankfully someone got them to turn that off before Bo came on. I was able to get down front for this show, this time I was on the side of the stage where Tommy's keyboard was set up . .. This stage was one of those really high ones, the ones where you can tell how well manicured Bo's nose hairs are Like I said, Bo was in good voice, started with I'm Gone and American Blood, Don't Mess Around with Jim, See the Light, This Train . .. and he sang Night Moves .... (my knees briefly buckle). At the first Canal Room show Gary Nichols sang "Midnight Rider" as a part of his set. Well, last night they waited until he joined Bo on stage at the end and they sang it together . . . Bo singing Midnight Rider . .. I heard that people were doing cellcerts so I sure hope you all got to hear that! Of course they finished up with SHA . .. there wasn't a huge crowd at the show (it's always nice not to have hords of people pushing from behind), but they definately were loving Bo.There was a meet and greet and this one was a relatively short one ... I think they got through every one in a little over an hour which is good because Bo always looks like he's ready to drop ... I know I've gotten autographs before but I had a wonderful shot from Tuesday night of Bo and his shiny silver guitar, he even remarked that it was a great photo .. . he was his usual sweet self . . .. he was asking my name and was trying to spell it on his own (r-e-e?) and I was like "no, it's lisa like with an r" . . . of course Tommy was photographer of the evening (bless his heart, he probably really wants to grab a beer at that point of the night) ... and as I walked away Bo said "aw, thank you lisa" hey he got 3 of the 4 letters right and that's good enough for me . .. LOL . .. squeeee, squeeee !Here is the shot of Bo I had him sign . . . definately one of my faves! You can see how nice the guitar looks, I guess Bo looks okay too ![]() Oh, and mods need to move this, feel free. |
