...As getting your daily sallary from the nice, unsuspecting citizens around the port on this fine day.
The pale elf leaned up against a far wall, looking out to the crowd, picking out here and there those that would be the easiest to steal from. The crowd did bug him a bit...the claustrophobia that he had never fully gotten over as a child always acted up when he was working at the port...
If only his partner-in-crime would show up.
He had been waiting for about an hour...Only the Gods (and Nonaness) knew what was going through his head at that moment:
If that imbosle is not here in ten minutes, there will be Haell to pay, was the most calm on his thoughts. His grey-green eyes looked out over to the docks...all those goods coming on and off the ships. Something MUST be worth stealing over there, but he had to wait. It was a pre-planned thing. He was to distract the crowd with song, having a "donations" bag infront of him, like a street performer, and then the other would steal their stuff while they were paying attention to the "Music Man."
He ran his long fingers through his equally long hair, his end finger rubbing against his half-bald scalp. God, it was hot. And dry. A combination that Dante didn't mind too much...the heat just bothered him a bit, in his semi-black attire. At least he wore SOME color today, his green vest. However, the large mandelin strapped to his back did cause some problems with sweat in the area it touched.
His eyes scanned the crowds for his partner again, looking and waiting...

Jarad murmured to himself, thoroughly annoyed with the warmth of midday. He cursed the gods for making a thing so foul as heat, and wondered why with Fadria's apparent dry-spell he had not opted to try and gain passage to Lithka at night. It would have been a lot cooler then in comparison to now, and maybe easier as well, as few enjoyed traveling during the darker hours, when thieves and those of the generally unsavory type ran amuck.
"Ah well, Riq... We all make mistakes. Some are just more apparent than others, like this one. 'least I got a couple of pelts out of yesturday, so it wasn't a total mishap."
That, of course, was in reference to Duan -- who was supposedly Mest's illegitimate child -- interferring with his hunting of a Fadrian black bear.
The elf's meddling had prevented him from getting the animal's fur, or any part of it for that matter, but at least he had made up for that with the brown bear and doe pelts he now had stuffed in the bag strapped to his back. Granted, both skins combined would fetch the four-hundred shillings that he would have gotten from the single black bear pelt, but hey, that was more than what he would be arriving with.
Jarad had discarded his vests to wander about bare-chested before entering the port. His nipple rings gleamed within the sunlight. He didn't mind any of the looks his eccentrics tattoos were fetching, for he knew that Fadria was, more or less, a rather conservative locale, and he was far from a conservative individual.
So in regards to that he could only grin at any with agape mouths and offer an inclination of his head in a friendly, but casual, howdy-do.

((Heh... Sorry, work sucks...)) Palisar saw his partner. Impatient as always, well, he was a little late. Sidetracked by the day to day stealing, practicing steath and stuff. The elf had ditched black as a color completely. Going intead with a flaming red. The red thhat is normally only found at the heart of an ember. He had chosen this so that he would stand out, that way, when people noticed their stuff missing, they would not suspect him. The way peoples minds worked really shocked Palisar now. Sneaking up on people had never been a problem for him, so he employed this and slid beside his partner. The act would be simple, yet planned carfully.
"Sorry about the delay, needed to get a new tool for the job"
He grinned at the lack of black on his partner. Seeing that the idea of not wearing black as all thiefs do was not his own, but in fact adopted over time. He would make a note of that for when he was going to be thieving in public.
"So, shall we begin?"

Palisar cocked an eyebrow at the playing. It wasn't any song he had heard. He was wondering vaugely if Dante was making it up as he went. Even so, it drew a croud (Bleh... I can't remeber how to spell it... sence school has been out I have forgotten alot x.x) As expected, everybody noticed Palisar in his bright clothing, however, as expected, no one looked twice at him, other than a side on glance to have a quite snicker. He supposed that he did look a bit like a fool. But a fool and his money are soon parted, and Palisar hadn't lost any money to pickpockets in his entier life. The few who had tried had found nothing but pain, and had lost a finger to Palisars blade, without him even looking down.
He scanned the gathering group, looking from person to person, checking their faces, rather than their person. Rich people always had a 'I am so much better than everyone around me' thing going on around them. He soon spottted one person with such a look on their face, taking a quick look at his partner, he nodded, a signal that meant he had found someone. Walking swiftly, but seemingly aimlessly, he was soon by the intended target, taking his knife, the 'tool', he quickly completed the 'job' by cutting the strings of the purse and adding the contents of that purse to his empty one. He paused by the person he had just robbed for only a few seconds, before moving on.
This was going to be such an easy day of 'work'.

((I'll just post anyways. Since I don't have much to do with Dante...I'll try the best I can.))
Dante, infact, was making it up as he went.
A small crowd had stopped moving, and gathered around Dante and his instrument, listening to the music. A few children got up into the small clearing, and began dancing, similar to monkeys dancing to organ grinders.
Passers-by tossed a few extra coins into the hat, conferming his suspicion and hopes: They thought he might be a gypsy. He DID have enough earings, both hoops and studds, but several of each. At a quick glance, it could be though he was a gypsy, too, but not to much.
He nodded in a fake gratitute to each person who tossed coins into the bag infront of him, before his eyes strayed to his partner. Just a quick glance, to see where he was. Good, he thought. He found someone rich. We eat like Kings tonight! He smirked a little, before changing the song from a little upbeat to more so. A few more kids, some with pets, began dancing too, before their parents or guardians (Dante could never tell the difference) pulled them off away from the stranger.

The upbeat music drew the crowd, while the more so music brought the croud into a kind of trance. Well, any transe of any wort was one way to lose you money. Or so Palisar thought as he appoached the next person that he had chosen. As he reached out for the bag to cut it open, the man turned, promptly disamed Pilisar and turned his own blade agaist him. All withen a few seconds, and without making too much of a disturbance.
"My, my... look what I have caught. A little thief, trying to spirit away my belongings. The man looked at Palisar with cold eyes. Palisar didn't even boher with a mean look, or words, settling instead with a headbutt. Though that did communicate that Palisar had nothing to say to the man, it also left Palisar quite dizzy, with a sore spot on his forehead. This wasn't part of the plan that Dante and Palisar had cooked up. When Palisar played it though his mind, he had made a clean get away, cheated on the 50/50 spit to get 60/40, and drink himself to bliss. Nope, getting caught would have to be moved to after drinking himself to bliss. This might throw off the calender a little.
(What, I need to have some problem or another, so why not get caughed, disarmed, and dizzy. Give you a little somethin to do.)

((Just the sligtest bit of swearing))
It was in fact, rather bad. Because, Palisar was rapidly lossing consuisness due to the choke hold the man has decieded ot change the once painless, yet disabiltating grip, into a full blown choke that was making red spots appear thought his vision. Were the Haell is that idoit when you needed him!? Oh there, the little bastered was danching with the childeren.
He deicieded that the best way to get Dante's attention was a bit of mayham. Aka, using the last bit of his air in a, hopefully lifesaving, gamble.
"GET OVER HERE YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING BASTARD!"
That wasn't the agreed apon signal, but, there was no real signal, so Palisar used a rather suddle way of contacting Dante. And the shout did have one rather usefull side effect, The man quickly droppe Palisar to cover his ears, dropping the elf to the ground. Palisar did not spring right up, due to the fact that he was gasping, trying to get the air back into his system.

Dante took the hint. He could recognise from the voice: It was time to go. Since most people had been paying attenion to the music, most of them had only heard the shouting, and now what he actually said. He picked up the small bag of "tips," and began to shout back, as though he didn't actually know the man, who he made seem like he was critisizing him...
"Fine, you WORTHLESS, GOOD FOR NOTHING BASTARD OF A CRITIC! I'll leave, if that's what you really want!"
So, that's what he did. He packed up, and left the small clearing, the small children groaning in dissapointment and returning to their parents. Dante ran through the croud, looking for Palisar. He found him, and in his running, made the semi-subtle signal to "Get up and run. Now," by kicking his foot lightly while he was on the ground.
They had to get out of the crowd before anymore people figured out what they had did.
