Did you ever have these when you were a kid. We had 6 kids in the family and used to love it when Dad decided we were going to make Taffy. ;)

Seems to be something that started in the Blue Ridge Mountains back in the Pioneer days. It was loads of fun.

I have never participated in a taffy pull, but I have watched it done in TN. My kids always have me bring taffy home when we go through there. Now the grandkids think they have to have it too. My kids loved to watch that stuff being made.

Nope, wasnt a country girl when I was growing up. Guess I wasnt exactly city either, since we lived in a very small town. We always lived in the country after I was married though, so my kids are country kids. :-))
