This virus is going around, seems to bypass all anti virus programs. What happens is a screen comes up on your computer that says FBI on it and that you have done something illegal, and your PC is locked up until you pay a fine. You will not be able to do anything on your computer.

Just in case, any of you should get this (and I hope you dont), here is the fix.

First of all, start now, by making sure you have download Rkill on your computer so it is available to you. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/

2nd of all, make sure you have malwarebytes on your computer and that it is updated.

3rd, make sure you have the link for eset online scanner on your computer http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

Now, if you get this virus, and have all the 3 steps above done, it will be fairly easy, but a bit time consuming to get rid of it.

You will need to reboot your computer into safemode, since you cannot do anything in normal mode.

Once there, run your malwarebytes. It should remove enough of it, that once you reboot to delete what it finds, you should be able to get back to your normal desktop. Make sure you run the full scan, not the quick scan.

Once you are back to normal desktop after malwarebytes has finished running and rebooted your computer, click on the rkill icon and run it. Imediately after you have done this, run malwarebytes long scan again. Delete what it finds. and your computer will need to reboot.

Once you are back to your desktop after the reboot, then run rkill again (rkill kills virus that are running, so they can be deleted) and go directly online to eset and run the scan. It will find all the remnants of this nasty virus, and quarantine them. When eset is done, it gives you the option to remove the virus in quarantine. Please dont forget to do that.

When eset is done, go to system restore, and shut it off. Reboot your computer and go back to system restore and make a new restore point, and turn it on again.

All should be working good again for you. :-))
