How to Remove Your Google Search History Before Google's New Privacy Policy Takes Effect On March 1st, Google will implement its new, unified privacy policy, which will affect data Google has collected on you prior to March 1st as well as data it collects on you in the future. Until now, your Google Web History (your Google searches and sites visited) was cordoned off from Google's other products. This protection was especially important because search data can reveal particularly sensitive information about you, including facts about your location, interests, age, sexual orientation, religion, health concerns, and more. If you want to keep Google from combining your Web History with the data they have gathered about you in their other products, such as YouTube or Google Plus, you may want to remove all items from your Web History and stop your Web History from being recorded in the future. I've done so, and I think its worth doing. -------------------- ![]() Rush's law - Everybody in government lies. You can't be sure what they're lying about, but you can be sure they're lying. |

I guess, that means that one would have to open a google account. I dont have one, and really do not want one. I do have gmail, but, that account number will not work with the regular google.

I have one but also if you use Google crome there is an add on to keep you from getting tracked and tracked ads. Use it or go on the incogito mode on Fire fox

Cat... your Gmail account probably does work. Sign in to Gmail then go to Google and click on the little wheel at the upper right next to your sign in name and then options. If your history is enabled there should be plenty to look at.

Cat, as Bob said, if you have a Gmail account that is your Google account. -------------------- ![]() Rush's law - Everybody in government lies. You can't be sure what they're lying about, but you can be sure they're lying. |

So she says it's really not the end of the world and seems to not make to big of a deal about it. As noted by her Google has been tracking us for years any not to mention the ads at sites like these forums and other sites and how quickly they can show up.

Cat that is really strange as I can register directly at Google and actually just checked using the new password I created and got right in.

I read that if I registered at google, could then get my mail there, and I sure dont understand, why the password etc, I already have wont work. Doesnt make any sense to me. I rarely go to gmail website either, because mail comes into OE, but, I do go there on occasion, to delete all the emails that they seem to want to keep, for no reason.
