I dont have one anymore, but, I did up until a few years ago, when I gave it along with the whole stereo to my daughter. There are some 8 tracks around in a box though. Also think I still have one for a car, in a box out in the shop.

I do remember having one of those in my earliest cars. For their time, they actually did a good job..

Its a long time since I've seen one though.

I still have my casette player and VHS tape player too. DH made a little box with a bunch of switches and is hooked up to my entertainment center. The cassette and 8 track can be played through his antique stereo. It is really neat. smile.gif

Maybe you'll remember this or maybe you won't.

I had a 45rpm record player in my street race car, a 1961 Plymouth Fury with a police interceptor engine, beefed 3-speed push button Torqueflite transmission and dual exhausts.

The player was mounted under the center of the dash where it played records upside down. You pushed 11 records up onto the spindle and after each finished playing and the needle arm cleared they fell gently to the bottom of the unit housing.

The music played through the AM radio out to three speakers; one in each door and one on the rear deck. I also had with an "Echolette" (echo chamber) with a speaker balancer.

Now all that was cool and the girls loved it.

Never had anything like that, but my middle son had a 73 plymouth Fury with the police interceptor engine and the police transmission and dual exausts. His had been used by a small town police department. The unusual thing about it was that it was a 2 door hardtop. Blue on the bottom and white on the top. He managed to get it stuck in the mud one time, and burned out the torque converter, and we had quite a time getting the correct one for that particular car. When he went into the military, he sold the car to our daughter for 1.00. She drove it for a long time.
