Iny black and pure white gather up together, slowly building into a semblance of a portal. Out steps, of course, Twilight. The portal disappears.

Many questions run through Twilight's head. Chief among them...

Twilight: Where the HELL am I now?

The sky darkened as the sun fell on the quiet Denna Town, painting the buildings with orange hues, and the sky with pink and gold. Everyone was heading to bed, ready for a nice nights rest, before getting up for a fresh day in the morning. Unsuspecting of what awaited them soon, they prepared for what they thought would be a normal, quite night.

Gale: Sleep well my little insects, for your nightmares are about to begin.

*In the sky above Denna town, a shooting star falls. Landing in the hills outside town, out of the hole comes...*

Job: Impact damage assessment being inventoried. Netzach Mobilizor producing at 50 percent. Grail Arrangement is holding. Sin Bastion is at minimum useful level. Theotech weaponry undamaged. Scanning Sacrament Criterion. Proposed action...Approach humanoid township. Acting on Criterion.

*Job walks towards the town*

Hoboman rushed past the security guards and thumping his way through, he finally made it to the dock, he jumped on the ferry and greeted his old ferryman friend.

Hoboman: Hey Russel, what's been going on?
Russel: Not much, on trouble again?
Hoboman: Yeah... I stole a loaf of bannock bread and these guys wanted my hands cut.
Russel: Wow... laws are tough these days.
Hoboman: You said it, where's this thing going.
Russel: Capital, but we're stopping in this little town called Denna, you better get down there, we're passing a revision point on the way to the Capital.

Twilight: *Sigh* Hmm... small, quiet town... nighttime... Seems like a wonderful place for a sudden attack out of nowhere. I hate those.

The shadows on a wall next to him suddenly coagulate, taking on a familiar form. Out from the darkness steps Poison Bristly.

Poison: Hmhmhm... hello again, Twilight.

Twilight: *Rubs his temples so hard as to look like he's attempting to give himself brain surgery* You again... I'm not joining you.

Poison: *Sneers* You know I'm not going to give up until you join the darkness. Give up your pathetic light side. Let yourself go. Just get off the damn fence!

Twilight: No, I will not, 'Get off the damn fence,' whatever that means. I'm perfectly content where I am. *Starts walking off*

Poison: Your incessant neutrality grinds on my patience. Don't you want to learn about your past? Who you are? What you were?

Twilight: *Pauses* ... What?

Poison: Hmhmhm... I see that caught your interest. If you want to learn about your past, you'll meet me here, at this time, tomorrow night. I do hope you'll make the right choice. *Backs into the wall, slowly melding back into the darkness*

Twilight: Wait! What do you know of my past?

Poison: Tomorrow night, Twilight. Hmhmhm... *Melts into the darkness completely, vanishing*

Twilight: ... WHat does he know... of who I am...?

The night finally fell upon the town, just as a low rumbling began in the distance. A black cloud seemed to materialize near the ground on the horizon, growing steadily thicker, and closer. Soon, dots of green among the black mass could be seen, indicating that whatever it was a horde of some sort of creatures.

As they drew even closer to the town, if there were any onlookers, they would say the creatures looked like a type of insect…But only for the pair of antenna atop each of there heads. They were completely black, small and twitching from side to side as they made there way towards Denna Town.

Gale: Excellent, looks like Augustus sent his good wishes along with underlings.

The robed figure detached a piece of parchment from the leg of an insect, read it so quickly that his eyes looked like a blur and threw it away

Gale: Sermeh, is our horde ready for the attack? It better be.

Twilight: Massive evil horde senses... tingling... Or maybe that's just the ground rumbling. *Walks to the edge of the town... and stares as the massive horde* Oh... wonderful. I'm smack in the middle of a massive rampage of Silithids. This couldn't possibly get a-

Poison: *Pops out of a wall nearby* MURPHY'S LAW, YOU FOOL! Oh, and the location of the meeting may change... I'll update you on that. *Pops back into the wall*

Twilight: *Sweatdrop* *Sigh* Am I gonna have to fight these things?

Through the dusty town road, a young woman walks through... Her long, blue hair makes her a striking figure. She starts to pass by Twilight with her head down, trying to avoid notice. (And not doing a very good job.)

???: ... *silently* Oh no.. I'm lost...

Russel: Kid... you better see this...

Hoboman: *Mumbles* What is... OH GOD!
*Watches the horde of insects*

Russel: Kid look! Over the shore of the river! *Notices Twilight and the Young woman*

Hoboman: Strange... that is Denna town right? I think they are under attack, alarm the imperial guards at the revision post!

*Jumps down the ferry and lands near Twilight and the woman*

Russel: KID! *Throws a cutlass at Hoboman*

Hoboman: *Grabs the cutlass*

*Zachary Lumittae makes his way down a road, not looking for anything in particular. He notices the horde of creatures running into the town.*

Zack: Excellent. Exercise. *Runs towards the horde*

Job: * FINALLY reaches town* *Notices mob* Memory bank note: Stopping to catalouge flowers should no longer require several hours. Grail Arrangment scanning insectoid life forms. Life forms have been judged as evil according to the Sacrament Criterion. Criterion suggests destruction. Complying. Deploying Urizen Saber. *Job's left hand disappears and is replaced by a beam of light* Initiate termination. *Leaps at bugs with a vertical slash*

Edit: GOD I love RPing robots sometimes.

The hooded figure, noticing all his company, turns a yell to nothingness and another figure pops up of the darkness

Gale: What? Sermeh! What is this!

Sermeh: Minor inconveniences, sir, our horde is ready.

Gale: Begin the attack immediately, I don't want to take any chances.

And as he finished his words, the other man blew a horn, And then without warning, the mass of darkness fell upon the quiet town, and started destroying everything in their path. Screams could suddenly be heard as people awoke to find the creatures destroying their homes and possessions, seconds after that, bodiless creatures apparently formed of wind, with a cranial head and claws at the end of their ethereal cloaks, appeared out of thin air, and began to charge against the town.

???: *keeps walking, seemingly oblivious to the swarm coming towards her.. until she runs right into Twilight... literally* Ack! I'm sorry! Are you ok?

Zack: *As he is running, he holds out his left hand. A long, sheathed sword materializes into his clenched hand. It has a completely black hilt and black sheath. He unsheathes the sword, and the sheath is revealed to be exactly the same length as the sword, including the hilt.*

Twilight: *Stumbles backward slightly* Hmm? I'm fine. But if you don't wanna be bug food. *Points to the incoming horde* I suggest running. *Reaches his right hand out and grips, causing a Lightsaber Keyblade (Yeah, you read that right) to appear in his hand* Get going. *Charges into the horde and begins slashing through them with acrobatics that would impress Sora's Master Form*

Zack: *Notices Twilight fighting the insects with his superior acrobatics* Wonder who he is... *He jumps straight into the path of the insects, and slashes with his sword and sheath. The insects slashed by the sword are obviously cut in half, and the insects hit by the sheath are knocked up against the buildings at high speed and die* *to Twilight* Hey, you over there! You know what's going on?

???: Wait! *sees some bugs running towards her* Ew... Photon! *a light sphere destroys them* Oh, I hate fighting..

Twilight: *Slices through a few more of them* Not a clue. *Points the Keyblade forward and launches shards of ice from the tip, impaling several of the insects* But this horde doesn't seem to be ending. *Raises a hand and snaps his fingers, calling down a flurry of lightning bolts* *A few insects jump at him from behind, but the lines of Twilight's scarf run them through and toss them away* These things just keep coming!

???: Ray! *beams of light rain down, clearing a path for the girl to catch up to Twilight* Wait, sir! I can help you!

Twilight: *Twirls his Keyblade at obscene speeds, then slams it against the ground, causing a large shockwave to slice through most of them in front of him, giving him some breathing room* Hmm? Help me? How?

Zack: Well then, let's find out where they're coming from, and we can destroy the source!

???: I know some white magic... Enough to defend myself, and... Sun Burst! *she tosses a sphere of light at a big bug about to hit Twilight from behind* help others... Sharpen! *Twilight feels his accuracy improve*

Zack: Tell me who you both are, please. *slashes once, and three bugs no longer feel, as their heads have been cut off*

Twilight: Hm, wonder why my blast didnt get that one... Alright, but don't get in my way. *Winds his arm back and throws his Keyblade, which circles around ???, lobbing three bugs behind her in half* *Catches the Keyblade as it returns* And try not to get in too much trouble. By the way, what's your name?

*A slightly different insect darts from here to there, not really doing anything, seemingly watching the battle. At one point, it zips off into the shadows, then transforms into a human/elf-like woman with shoulder-length light green hair, sky blue eyes, and emerald and sapphire robes. She looks around, zaps a few insects here and there, then runs off in a random direction, setting fire to the bugs as she goes along. And by chance, the direction she chose happens to lead to Zack, Twilight, and... uh... "???".*

????: ...

???: My name is Melody, sir! *she dodges a bug, and Sun Bursts it* I think the horde's coming from that way! *she points toward the edge of town*

Gale: Enough... this is enough, I'm taking part on this, grab my robe Semreh.

The robed figure removed its cover and started to chant, and a huge whirlwind appeared out of nowhere, wrapped Gale and he appeared clad with emerald green armor, clad from head to toe, wielding a huge sword that seemingly was as light as wind, then, without taking notice, he jumped at the trio attacking the Augustus horde, spinning at the point with his sword outstretched.

Twilight: Alright Melody, you seem capable of handling yourself. *To Melody and Zack* Name's Twilight. And don't call me sir. *Heads in the direction Melody pointed, cutting down any insects in his way, only to stop as Gale comes at him* *Raises his Keyblade to block* These guys are crawling out of the woodwork!

Zack: I'm Zachary Lumittae. Let's go! *Follows Melody, continually killing bugs*

Melody: Incoming! *she points at the tornado coming towards them* Light screen! *a quick barrier goes up in front of it*

Zack: *notices Gale and jumps out of the way just in time* Who the HELL are you?

*Hoboman takes cover behind a house, and stabs a bug that comes near him*

Hoboman: This is worse than the alley rats!

*Hoboman watches the man clad in green armor fighting the people around him*

Hoboman: Looks like an imperial person, and these guys seem strange... Three versus one? Ugh... Hoboman, you and your sense of honor.

*And without further ado, he jumped into the pitch, kicking Twilight*

????: ... *transforms into a bug again and flies by, seemingly observing the action once more*

Zack: *notices Twilight being kicked by Hoboman* *to Hoboman* And who the HELL are YOU? *slashes him at superhuman speed*

Gale smashed his sword into the ground, causing a power wave to expand, and cause a small tremor around the people, just as he notices a ragged person hitting someone in the head.

Gale: Do not... interfere with the all-mighty Trenians!

Twilight: *Stumbles* The hell...? *Hit as Gale speeds through* Gah! Son of a... *Holds a cut in his side, but points his Keyblade at Hoboman* Firaga! *A stream of flame launches at him*

Melody: *realizes she's alone against Gale* Y-you're the one behind th-these bugs? *she charges up a sun burst*
