RUN TO THE HILLS

Yeah, I know. I just like that line. Mostly because I get to say "What the fuck is an injune?" >_>

The Ultramind12 - June 27, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
...

Indian? Duh?

Robtcee13 - June 27, 2008 08:28 PM (GMT)
I know, but why didn't it just say "Indian"?

The Ultramind12 - June 27, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
Because they didn't want to?

Robtcee13 - June 27, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
Because Harmonix is the kind to make intentionally inaccurate charts?

...Nah. That's Activision/Neversoft's job.

I know, but why didn't it just say "Indian"?

uh, because of cultural differences?

also what did that have to do with Neversoft making crappy charts, unless you just felt like throwing it out there >_>

Robtcee13 - June 27, 2008 10:38 PM (GMT)
An inaccurate vocal chart would either have improper pitch or a word that isn't correct.

And since improper pitch is a matter of perspective/whatever your voice is... If the lyrics aren't right (And I checked. Injune isn't in my spellchecker.), it's an inaccurate chart. Technically.

Just like a drum chart containing, say, improper tempo. Then again, if we referred to Run to the Hills, that's just a result of the song being a bad cover.

The Ultramind12 - June 27, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
Unless, you know, they actually said "Injune" in the actual song.

Which they did.

DAMN YOU AND YOUR DIFFERENT HTML FOR TAGS ON THIS SITE.

Robtcee13 - June 27, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
That's just how they pronounced it. >_>

The Ultramind12 - June 28, 2008 08:49 AM (GMT)
Well then.

What do you think's gonna be on the song chart, dumbass?

I don't quite remember what area "injune" started from, but it sure as hell didn't come from RttH.

Robtcee13 - June 28, 2008 03:39 PM (GMT)
Okay. I'm not in the mood to argue with you at the moment.

The Ultramind12 - June 28, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
Really, it's... hell, what's the word I'm looking for here...

Anyway, if they said "Injune" in the actual song, that's what's gonna be on the song chart. Otherwise it'd be wrong.

Robtcee13 - June 28, 2008 11:24 PM (GMT)
That's just how it was pronounced. I assume they charted it as injune because then it'd be far easier to sing. Direct pronunciation guide.

The Ultramind12 - June 28, 2008 11:34 PM (GMT)
If that's how it's pronounced, then if they'd put "Indian" you'd get that word wrong for pronouncing it incorrectly during the song, because that isn't what they say.

Or at least your tone would be off, whatever.

Robtcee13 - June 29, 2008 12:29 AM (GMT)
At worst it'd just sound weird.

MetalHeadbut - June 30, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
They say Injune instead of Indian because in the days of the Old West they used to say it like so The Iron Maiden song Run to the Hills is about indians in the times of Cowboys and thats how Cowboys said it so they wanted the song to sound authentic so thats how Dickenson wrote it

Robtcee13 - July 1, 2008 12:07 AM (GMT)
Thanks for actually helping clarify that. >_>
