Now this thing would be for IG, or SM. It is a tech vehicle, or a techmarine repair tank (kind of useless but spare me).
Tech Tank Points:75 Armor: 12:12:12:12 Weapons:Servo-arm (repair), melta gun, twin-linked heavy bolter Crew:Servitors Rules: Repairs damaged tanks on a d5. Hows it sound? -------------------- |

Repairs damaged tanks on a D5? 5+ you mean?
12 armour on rear is not good. No tank has anything but 10 or 14 on the rear. and not sure how well a servo arm on a vehicle could mend a tank... --------------------
Understatement of the year... he looks like he has been converted and sprayed

Well, it has to be protected from all sides when it drives into the heat of the battle. And the servo arm would be detachable I guess, or it would extend off the side of the tank.

Aye, just so long as you didnt stick a techmarines servo arm on the side  not long enough...
and I really would drop the rear armour to 10. It needs to be protected yes, but EVERY other tank in EVERY army, apart from Landraidr and Monolith has AV 10 on the rear... is it that special? Could you put in rules for a servo arm hitting people? counts as a small arms fire weapon, range of 3", S8, AP2, Assault 3 or something? (put it in the shooting phase... makes it a lot easier than trying to put rules for it in combat... --------------------

Your as stubborn as any Dark Angel, Althamus.
Think about it, your chapter master's land raider has been crippled, and needs to be repaired. If you drove Straight into the heart of battle wouldn't you want to be protected from ALL angels of attack? And the servo arm is longer and much bulkier/stronger than the techmarine one, it's used to pull off armor plates, lift tanks ect.
So final, Tech Tank Points:95 Armor: 12:12:12:12 Weapons:Servo-arm (repair), twin linked- melta gun, twin-linked heavy bolter Crew:Servitors Rules: Repairs 1 "weapon destroyed" on a d6 roll of 5+. -------------------- |

Re: armour: *shurgs* its your tank. As long as the model has decent armour plating on the back, you can do whatever you want. I just say this - you would want it nicely protected, but Rhinos have to put up with worse armour all round... and they are combat vehicles (or you know what I mean) Re: guns: Not sure if it would have a linked MG on it... it actually makes the MG worthwhile having, but even so... I would have thought for the potentially delicate work it would ahve to do, you would want a single burst, as opposed to two jets of heat. --------------------

DOH! I forgot that, thanks, and the melta guns for cutting damaged armor/protection if need be.

im just wondering if your using the 2005 chapter approved for the vehicle making, it would be more accurate to create a vehicle and even game legal, althought the repair rules/equipment would have to be opponet approved.

have you thought about making a super heavy tank (butt load of pts with good armor and can even fight in close combat!) with lots of weapons? it would seem like for the people that make super heavy tanks usualy put lots of weapons on them.
