Well, i have a few questions about our friend the nurgles. Can their demons be summoned via veteran sergeant or is it the standard bearers job?

if the sergeant buys a Personal Icon he could summon as well (iirc).
I used daemons twice (Flamers in my T-sons, then recycled into my Word Bearers), so I'm not the greatest authority on Daemons. Cheers, Lawrence. -------------------- Take a look at the world and tell me the pleasures of sanity... - Dr. Strangelove (iirc)

Thanks, when i played with the GW army we had to use veteran sergeants to do it. Also, is there a rule called "rot of nurgle"? where you roll a dice for each enemy squad in contact with your DG and if you/whoever roles gets a 1 then the squad is infected and rolls armor saves?

Heh, not quite.
Daemons can be summoned from the sergeant if he bought the XXpt upgrade for a personal icon. Otherwise, it's from some joe blow in the squad. As for the almighty Nurgle's Rot, it's activated at the end of your shooting phase, and any model within 6" is wounded on a 6 with normal armour saves applicable. Absolutely great against Orks and Nids and such. It only has to kill one model to make its points back too! It's even better when it nabs a GK Terminator too. Cheers, Lawrence. -------------------- Take a look at the world and tell me the pleasures of sanity... - Dr. Strangelove (iirc)

The DG have true grit right, so bolters count as bolt pistols and gain +1 attack?

They do get the extra attack, but do not get the +1 for the charge.
However, models with BP/CCW have the same extra attack, but DO get the one for charging. However, being able to fire at 24" and double tap within 12" is worth it, imo. Cheers, Lawrence. -------------------- Take a look at the world and tell me the pleasures of sanity... - Dr. Strangelove (iirc)

With True Grit, your standard (if they can be called that) Nurgle Marines w/ Bolters will always have 2 attacks. No more, No less.
CCW/Pistol armed Nurgle Marines sacrifice range for their extra attack, and may be able to receive a third if they get the charge. You need to decide which is more important for each unit. Defensive: Increased Firepower with 2 dependable attacks, or Offensive: Slightly Lessened Firepower with a possible 3 attacks. 'Both!' is always a good option! -------------------- |
