Alright, My friend and I were sitting down to a freindly game of 40k. I had left on my Gundam wing soundtrack and we battled with out turning it off. Surprisingly we had much more fun playing 40k with music rather than without. Strange I must say
So has anyone else felt this wonder? If so lets hear what you listen too as you battle! -------------------- Never hit a person with glasses, hit em' with a baseball bat

Ahh classical music! While not classical, many of my battles have been to orchestra music, such as the Pirates of the Carribean theme, or the Lord of the Rings fight music

I listen to gregorian when playing AoD and i listen to of wolf and man for space wolves and the thing that should not be for DG. My opponent and i choose theme songs and play them at the start of the battle. Master of Puppets is a great tzeentchy theme.

I'll listen to anything from Mendelssohn (I'm a violin nerd, go figure) to Rammstein (who doesn't love German Industrial!?)
Here's a quick run through of good music that my friends and I listen to while playing Warhammer 40,000: Beethoven Fur Elise Moonlight Sonata (makes for a very peaceful, dreary game, rather beautiful!) Mendelssohn Allegro Appasionato Paganini Caprice 4 Caprice 5 (the most insane violin I've ever heard) Caprice 9 Caprice 13 Caprice 16 Caprice 24 Etude #3 - La Campanella Rhapsody on a Theme Prokofiev Dance of the Knights Pskov in Flames The Evil God and Dance of the Pagan Monsters (wonderful for any army to march to!) Toccata (for that eclectic Farseer) J.S. Bach Organ Fugue g minor Little Fugue Nobuo Uematsu The Best of FF7 (orchestrated beautifully in front of a live audience) City of the Ancients Terra Liberi Fatali (opening to FF8) Kyokuhoku No Tami (Mt. Gagazet from FF9) Blue Fields Balamb Garden One Winged Angel (Sephiroth) The Great Warrior (Red XIII) Mako Reactor (absolutely GREAT for any evil character's theme) Hans Zimmer Gladiator - The Battle Blackhawk Down - Main Theme Blackhawk Down - Mogadishu Blues King Arthur - Do You Think I'm a Saxon? The Rock - Navy Seals Theme Haiducci Without You (a.k.a. Numa Numa (The Latins and I were dancing to it before we even saw the video, so Rammstein Keine Lust Los Moskau Links 2 3 4 Klavier Mutter Adios Nebel Sehnsucht Herzeleid Ich Lauf Tom Lehrer Poisoning Pigeons in the Park (the quintessential Death Guard song!!) Masochism Tango (the quintessential Emperor's Children song!!) Cows with Guns (who doesn't love a song about cows with guns!?) Stratovarius Hunting High and Low Destiny Legions (good for a space marine/impy.G army) Rebel Soldiers Prayer (great for Inquisitor!) Sponge Bob Square Pants Jellyfish Jam (I don't know why, but this song is great for pelvic thrusting!) Beastie Boys 3 MC's and 1 DJ Intergalactic Negotiation Limerick File Gorillaz Feel Good Inc. 19-2000 Clint Eastwood Daft Punk Revolution 909 Around the World Harder Better Faster Stronger (great entrance for my friend's new Ethereal... lol) One More Time Da Funk Aphex Twin Digeridoo Come to Daddy (absolutely terrifying when on slightly less than legal substances...) Speed Racer Milkman Stone in Focus Benny Benassi Satisfaction Illusion Let it Be Love is Gonna Save Us Skazi Rave Tune In Hit and Run Herpes Element Don't F*ck with Us Lords of Acid Shiva Chandra Crystal Splitter Spica Machine Planet Solar Stone Seven Cities Cafe Del Mar Right Said Fred I'm Too Sexy (I stripped to that in someone else's Residence Common Room during frosh week after copious amounts of Absynthe) Ministry of Sound Chase the Sun Deep Sea Deepest Blue Revelati I won't go through my entire Library because the songs listed above are what my friends and I listen to when we game. I think I got the whole Gaming Soundtrack, but I could be wrong. Cheers, Lawrence. ++EDIT++ Forgot to include that I compose my own music as well. (I've made some music for 40k, but I'd have to dig them up) ++/EDIT++ -------------------- Take a look at the world and tell me the pleasures of sanity... - Dr. Strangelove (iirc)
Lictor? I didn't touch her! - Anon Lawrence... you're the ONLY person I have to tell to 'stop filing me'! - Jason H. It hurt, but I took some drugs and I felt better *grins* - Danna G. |
