General Drakenhart Devion, The new menace

[Kauyon]

Last time on The Ha'el:
Well they finally lifted off (took em long enough) and it seems like it slipped our Farseers uber powerful mind to tell Kauyon about Pascht the seer cat. He found out of course and is more than a little pissed with it. As well as that it seems like Lorana is gonna pop if she doesn't get into space soon.
Well I've talked for long enough I'll let you get to the briefing room where Kauyon is giving them shiny new orders.

The Narrator

[Lorana]

Lorana was sitting impatiently inside the briefing room looking at Kauyon. "Where is Mhurek?" She asked in a tone bordering annoyance.

"He'll be here soon...I hope."

Lorana waited a few more minutes before getting up and heading out. She heard Kauyon calling out asking where she was going, but she didn't bother answering. He'd know when she came back.

Not sure where Mhurek was, Lorana started asking around. She was finally led to his location. Without so much as a greeting or questioning on why he wasn't in the briefing room, she grabbed ahold of his arm and proceeded to drag him there. Once more ignoring the protests and only tightening her grip even more when he attempted to pull free.

Once more, Lorana entered the briefing room with Mhurek in tow with her. She gave a triumphant grin to Kauyon as he noticed them.

[Kauyon]

Kauyon did his best not to burst out laughing, "Nice of you to join us Mhurek, now lets get started"
He called up a holomap of the sector they were in. "We have been told one of Chaos' most decorated Generals, one Drakenhart Devion, has been prowling around this sector. As of yet he hasn't made any major paths to destruction here but he could at any time."
He highlighted a section "He was last seen around this area I will stay aboard the Ha'el and sweep the area with sensors for the fleet, Mhurek I'll need you to look for disturbances in the warp and on the infinity circuit. Lorana you will head Angel squadron and search for-" He stopped abrubtly as Lorana gave a brief squeal of delight. He raised an eyebrow "oook, well thats all lets get to it, Mhurek the meditation chamber has been put in Visualisation mode so we can interpret your findings. Lorana Angels 2 through 9 are ready for your order to scramble."

[Reia Fauchu]

mhurek nodded and said, "i'll need an hour or two before i can get back into medidation after lorana pulled me out to bring me to the briefing, i was in mid converse with a friend of mine"

[Kauyon]

"Well we need you on that ASAP" Kauyon gave Lorana a brief hug "good luck and come back safely" She nodded and he took the turbolift down to astrometrics.
He opened up the console and ordered some Thyfell coffee before turning to the chart, "If I were an evil warlord, where would I hide..."

[Reia Fauchu]

Mhurek sat down to meditate. he decided astral projection would be a good method of finding the general and his ships. Mhurek left his body, slumped over itself and passed through the hull of the ship into raw space. He thought to himself, where could they hide? and remembered the astroid field he saw on the space charts on the bridge. He willed himself to the belt and searched around, but sadly, he didnt see any ships, just an orkish space hulk. He realised that there is no recorded ork activity in this area then, when he got closer, he saw what the horror of the chaotic siege had caused. on the bow of the hulk were thousands of death-claw pods, clinging to the hull having dropped off their cargo. Plasma burns ran deep into the rock and metal of which the hulk was constructed. Mhurek willed himself inside the ship. "So this is your game Devion!" he exclaimed to himself as he saw drakehart on the warbosses seat, on the bridge of the hulk. Icons of the udivided had already started to form on the interior of the bridge, where the evil presence was most concentrated.

Mhurek hurried back to his body, then he hurried back to the bridge to log his findings and find another officer, "WHERE IS KAUYON!?" A frightened looking air caste tau, pointed to the charts that kauyon was studying. "IVE BEEN ON THERE SHIP... ASTROID BELT... SPACEHULK! LETS GO!"

[Kauyon]

At the exact same time Mhurek came through the door Kauyon found the discrepancy he had been looking for. Got ya.
He turned to Mhurek, "you saw him?" Mhurek nodded, "he felt you there didn't he."
"Indeed he did"
Kauyon turned around to see the spectral form of the General staring him down.
"What do you want, you wouldn't bother yourself with this sector unless there was a purpose behind it.2
"What do I want... It is quite simple really I want to get rid of your kind. I want to take away everything you hold dear and make you watch. Speaking of which where is your dear woman?"
Kauyon balled his fists. "She's more than a match for your pilots any day."
"Why yes, I have no doubt she will destroy them with ease and you know what else? I don't care because you are wasting your time."
"What do you mean?"
"Have you not figured it out yet Kauyon? What could I possibly do that takes so much time? Why would I not attack if I was at full strength?" He folded his arms "And why would I bother to appear to you in this way if I din't have an ace up my sleeve?"
"This ace would be?"
"I think I should show you," he opened up a hole through which Kauyon saw what he had been dreading most. Devion disappeared.

"Mhurek, we have a serious problem."

[Reia Fauchu]

what is it?

[Kauyon]

"Its a hellpit. Given the correct ingredients he can use it to raise any deamon he wants. We have to stop him NOW"
Kauyon vaulted the desk and tried to reach Lorana.

[Reia Fauchu]

Mhurek ran behind him To the hangar where lorana had just disconnected the refueling pipe from her personal fire-bird. Kauyon and Mhurek skidded to a holt next to lorana...

[Lorana]

Lorana muttered something under her breath as she took off the targeting helmet. She went along both sides of her fire bird to check it over. To say she was protective of her ship was to put an understatement. She grinned a bit though as her mind replayed the attack. "They should know better than to mess with me." She chuckled.

Lorana's eyes finally cast away from her ship to the others who were doing the same as her, refueling and getting things set up for their next trip out. She disconnected the pipe and started putting it back in its place when Kauyon and Mhurek came running and skidded to a halt beside her. She looked at them both. "Oh come on. I know I was gone for a bit but I really don't need a welcoming commitee everytime." She smirked. She finished putting things back in their place and then properly looked at them. "Okay...I give. What's happened now?"

[Kauyon]

Lorana, what did you find out there, I have reason to believe Devion is more than just a blowhard.

[Lorana]

Lorana gave Kauyon a look for ignoring her question. But she answered his anyway. "We were attacked." Lorana tossed the helmet from the top of her ship into the seat. "I don't know who they were. I'm going to guess they were sent by Devion. But I don't ask questions when I'm fired at, you know that. And..well..there's bits of metal out there now." She shrugged but there was a slight grin there to. "No one was hurt besides them."

[Reia Fauchu]

Mhurek gave a chuckle, even though the current situation told him that he shouldnt.

[Lorana]

Lorana looked over at Mhurek when he chuckled. She couldn't see where the situation held an air of humor in it. She reached up and smacked him upside the back of his head. She didn't back up from him, merely gave a look of "What?" when he looked at her. She turned her head back to Kauyon. "Now are you going to answer my question or not Kauyon? What's has happened now?" She said, a tone of demanding hidden beneathe her words.
