And Flank March? One turn only? Not allowed, or "don't bother deploying and just show up in the enemy's deployment zone the entire game?"

Outflanking per 40k rules granted by infiltrate or scout is allowed. Strategic Assets will be allowed. Each player may have one Strategic Asset, and no strategic assests can be repeated on a team side. There are a few SA's that are eliminated for the ease of play. Flank March, and Scheduled Bombardment. Battlefield Assets must be modeled accordingling to be used. AGR does have a number of terrain pieces that can "count as". Please contact me if you would like to use said terrain so I dont use it as I set up the table on Saturday Morning.

Scenario will be kept secret ohmy.gif , but I will tell you that each side will recieve little gifts to have some fun with. evilgrin0032.gif pirate-smiley-12.gif biggrin.gif

If you have any more questions please feel free to post them here. I will be at the store tomorrow after 5, and on Friday after 5 if you need to contact me for anything.

Let me know if you would like to play, and would like to borrow an army to participate. I enjoy having as many people as possible involved.

Nope, Brian will probably be playing with his sisters army. Well hopefully he will be. He played last time.

DIBS ON HOLY WAR biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

At least I think that's what it's called. It's actually kinda useless but it's the one thing they have for Sisters specifically. And Brian can't have it. wink.gif Maybe it's War of Faith. Gotta look in Reload tonight. But I have dibs on it no matter what it's called and I know what it is so it's mine! You only have to know what it is to call dibs! biggrin.gif

QUOTE (Deus Maximus @ Sep 17 2009, 08:30 PM)
It sounds like the BoLS is more intuned with a balanced original rules set. I will go with those rules then. I would say use rules for what you have. I dont know about the conversion of an armorcast/Forgeworld model, thats up to the owner of the model.

My events are all about lining up models, pushing them forward, and making Dakka Dakka noises. If I see another flight of Valkryes, and the other side isnt prepared, ill make sure the balance the playing field.

Don't you mean: "Boomdagasser!"

Even if he does I have dibs on Holy War. You all saw it here! hypnotoadicon.GIF tongue.gif

...Of course in looking at my list I might not have enough actual Sisters in it to matter so if Brian has more Sisters than I do he can have it. Otherwise, DIBS!!!!!!

Holy War affects any model with the 'Adepta Sororitas' rule in their entry. Whichever of us would benefit from it more should make use of the Asset...except that I have dibs. And I have dibs on Brian's actual sisters if they're hot tongue.gif

Lol, His saint Celestine is pretty bad ass. He took angel wings off a reaper fig and used those for her. Looks pretty nice.

I used the Celestine figure as the base model for my Canoness but she isn't actually Celestine just so everyone is clear on that when they see her--and my Order isn't Martyred Lady anyway. Plus my Canoness never does anything so shoot Brian's Celestine all you want wink.gif

Maximus, how will you handle the rules for the supa-gatler on the Ork stompa? GW created a terrible problem with that thing in that the Ork player could conceivably keep rolling for hours on end (and it has happened) and take up the entire game time just firing that one weapon in one shooting phase--and it's even worse when you have multiple stompas on the board and multiple players firing supa-gatlers. I would recommend setting a time limit of 3-5 minutes for rolling of the supa-gatler shots rather than limiting the number of shots or times a unit can be hit but see what you think when you read the rules over, unless the Guild has a house rule in place to take care of that.

See the tyranids have an endless swarm so when u run out of troops u just bring them back next turn and the bigger monsters can hold there own pretty good.

But I agree it is a pain in the buttcheeck .

The problem isn't how much the supa gatler can destroy since that's the point of the game and you want to bring the most powerful stuff you can to Apoc game, the problem with the supa gatler is time. Because it doesn't stop firing until the player rolls a double for how many shots it has then it really can actually keep going and going and going and going and 45 minutes to an hour can be wasted on just the dice rolling for one weapon while everyone else just sits around. This was a poorly thought out rule on GW's part, especially in a game system where you set a specific end time for the game. I guess we'll see tomorrow. I'm off the net now so I shall see ya'all on the morrow! wink.gif

Well I dont disagree but they could have added something but I guess they wanted to leave it up to the players after all they seem to be giving more and more liberties to us so we can play as we see fit.

And with the sad news that I will not be playing tomorrow, unfortunately I have to do something very boring instead like work well have fun every one and I will stop buy when I get of to see how everything is going. Good luck to all!

Thanks for running the event Maximus, I had a great time! There were no more frustrations or confusions than other mega battles (which is plenty and no one can help that tongue.gif ), and I forgot or messed up plenty of my own stuff (like the wolf scouts I accidentally scattered the turbo laser shot onto would not have gotten a cover save since it was a D weapon--but we didn't have another shooting phase so it kinda worked out okay...kinda tongue.gif ) But I had an excellent time and thanks again for running a fun event Maximus! The game was called at the right time because you can just tell when people's nerves are frayed to breaking point. Thanks to everybody who played!
