Hey Jon
First of all, thanks and congrats to you and kelly penguin girl - great podcast(s).

You said in the show that you don't really use/know many podcatchers, so fair enough! However, you mentioned not having a podcatcher "like iPodder in windoze".........."erm Duuude" (sic), I've been using iPodder for linux for a few months now ;-)

It does address some of the features you highlighted in the podcast, eg choosing a specific podcast rather than downloading a whole series. It's a nice gui, built on Python, and of course, OSS.

By the way, I have nothing to do with iPodder in terms of programming/promotion etc smile.gif

Keep up the good work guys!

Cheers

Hey Drake,

Thanks for the info!

I have to admit that I find the whole podcatching thing to be just uber-ugly. I direct download my shows smile.gif

I have been corrected yet again!

Fair enough!
It'd take me ages to go through the various sites that I get podcasts from each week - so I find podcatchers to be very useful (and not too ugly) smile.gif

By the way, have you seen this?: Send to Flickr

.....you can add a "send to flickr" option to your konqueror menu! Works really well.

All the best

Wow...sounds cool. I'm actually using a Drag and Drop app called Uploadr for Flickr, but having that ability built into a right--click would be even cooler.

Gonna check it out. Thanks!

Apparently iPodder is undergoing a name change and will be known from now on as "Juice". The linux/BSD version has not been released yet, but win and mac versions are available.

I heard that. I always stop in and catch up with podcatchers now and again. I've just never found a reason to stay longer than a visit smile.gif

One day I'm sure they'll meet my impossible picky standards!
