I've revamped my personal site at www.jonwatson.ca. I was running a blog using Wordpress which was cool, but I've outgrown it. Now I've moved to Xoops, which is a full-blown content management system.
One of the many functions it provides is a forum module. I've re-created these forums on my own site and am now shutting down these forums in favour of the new ones. These forums are hosted for free on Invision Board and while that was cool to get the forums started, it's not a good long-term solution. What this means to you: Since our data is trappped in the free Invision Board system, you're going to have to re-register on my site to post into the forums. Anyone can read - it's just if you want to post that you'll have to register. Likewise with the existing posts. I'm really, really, really going to try to get the posts out of Invision Board into the new forums, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to. At the very least they're all going to be posted under the same name rather than the original poster. I apologize for the disruption, but it's for the long term good. Once the forums are under my control then the threat of this type of thing happening again is eliminated. Here's the link to the new forums: http://www.jonwatson.ca/blog/modules/newbb/ |
