Tiny paws trotted over the cool and smooth rock as a little cub made his way into the misfit lands. He had to be one of the most adorable things on the face of the earth... with the tiny pout across his pushed out lips and his immature bit of mane falling down into his face. His chest was puffed out as if he was the top honcho here and his tail was held high as if he was a king. What an entrance the little guy had. But who would have known that this little... adorable... cub was in fact an ancient demon?

His name was Akuma, and he had found his way into the misfit lands by sheer wandering. He bared the sore rump from a recent kick from a lioness whom he had tried to flirt with whom apparently wasn't welcoming to his approaches. "Bloody cat..." he cursed in his childlike voice, an english accent caressing his words. "Why do the' all 'ave to be so mean!" he snorted as he seated himself down underneath the beating sunlight that was above him. "She didn't 'ave to really kick me..." he complained as he rubbed his bum.

Golden eyes peered out into the misfit lands, the thin slits of his pupils taking in the sights.. maybe this place would offer him a better chance of finding someone who could break the curse over him... Rather doubtful though seeing as he still had the mental capacity of an immature teenager that couldn't control his hormones. How much longer was he to be trapped in this form! Ohh how annoying...

Sighing loudly as if in protest of something, he threw himself down onto his side and rolled onto his back, peering up at the sky. He outstretched his paws and reached up as if to touch the clouds. "Can't you just 'elp a demon out a little? Or are you so high and mighty..." he scowled. "I 'ope your happy up there! You blasted pest!" he hissed, extending his claws before swiping at the air above him. He was referring to the one whom had cursed him... No doubt he was getting some good laughs at the 'cubs' frustration.

Arkai was now a maturing teenager, and in truth, she hated it. True, the male cubs' attention was starting to focus on her as he body filled out and she matured, but she didn't want to grow up. Grown-ups were always so serious, they never played, or just had fun. All they did was talk, and she hated to just sit and talk. She snorted in annoyance, dropping into a hunter's crouch and sliding like a snake through the tall grass.

The sound of a voice caught her attention and she turned her head toward it, blowing the brilliant blue tuft of hair from her eyes and pricking her ears in interest. It sounded like a young lion, which confused her, she thought she knew them all. She scowled and slid forward through the grass, being sure she remained low and concealed by the tan stalks. As she got closer, she noticed an orange cub, and a mischievous smile crossed her maw. She inched forward before collecting her haunches up underneath her and leaping towards the lion, forepaws outstretched.

"Hiya!" She called landing hard on the dry ground right next to the cub's head, throwing dust over his body in her sudden landing.

Not expecting the sudden appearance from another lion, let alone a lioness, Akuma sat up quickly, nearly hitting heads with the female and scrambled to his four. His hackles stood on end and his ears remained flat as he uttered a scream. "AYEEE!"

He then felt his rear paws leave the ground, seeing as he had ventured his rump over the edge of the rock and then suddenly found himself dangling by his upper body. 'Why do they all 'ave to do that?' he questioned to himself as his claws gripped onto the stone. He was somewhat embarrassed for being so startled like that, but pulling himself back up to the rock he lifted a paw and batted at his immature mane a little. "Ello...?" he said, looking the lioness over a little before then looking out into the brush to try and see exactly where she could have come from so unnoticed. Oh how rusty he had become on his observation skills.

[Kaen]

Arkai giggled brightly, the brilliant smile only bringing out her blossoming good looks. She flicked her tail as her laughter died down, the smile remaining on her maw. "I scared you," She announced holding her head up high.

"Hiya! I'm Arkai" She said in answer to his questioned greeting. "And you're new here." She stated nodding curtly once, before looking at him in a thoughtful way. He was a curious little thing, horns and a weird sounding voice. She inspected him carefully her bright blue, pupil-less eyes taking in each aspect of him, he seemed younger than her, maybe...but in a way more mature, he smelled very strange, like nothing she'd ever smelled before. She leaned closer to him, bringing her maw mere centimeters from his to see if there was something she was missing.

Akuma quirked a brow at her laughter and sheer amusement of how she had startled him so. She was an odd one herself. "That you did..." he said after she had stated that she had scared him, obviously proud of that statement. Females, he doubted he'd ever understand them, no matter how many centuries he lived.

He blinked a little bit then at her sudden introduction and hesitated a moment before then proceeding to introduce himself as well. "Akuma..." Was all he was able to really get out before she began looking him over, her maw oh so close to his. His ears flattened back and he scooted away ever so slightly to return a little of the distance between the two. "Uh... Can I help you with something?" he questioned, his slit like pupils lifting towards her entirely blue eyes. Where had he wandered to? Never before had he seen a lioness with such markings and eyes... Oh boy.

[Kaen]

Arkai seemed taken aback by his movements and she herself laid her ears back and stepped backwards, apology written in her eyes. "No, I was just just curious." She said, afraid she'd insulted him. "I've never seen you in the Misfit's borders so I was curious...." Her eyes brightened again, her eagerness returning. "I don't get to meet people from the other side of the border very often... ok... well never...." Her ears raised slowly and a smiled crept up her lips with them. "Are you from across the border lines?" Her tail wagged slowly as she gazed eagerly at the young lion. "Are you from far away? Are you alone? Where's your family? You look kinda young to be all alone... Are you looking for a home?" Her questions flooded out barely giving him a chance to respond.

She blushed when the stream of words stopped and she ducked her head. "Sorry..." She mumbled." I'm prying..." She smiled sheepishly shuffling her forepaws.

Akuma's eyes widened somewhat as he saw that in some ways he seemed to have offended her, and he quickly lifted his ears back and did his best to regain his composure. He cleared his throat a little, and flicked his tail, pushing a smile to his maw.

However, as she spoke on about not meeting other lions from outside of the pride, his head tilted to the side some. Despite living in what he considered a 'pride' though for the most part it was some hole in the rocks that he had made into a den, he had never heard of a lion not meeting others from outside. Though, as the bomb-bardment of questions came his nose wrinkled some and he hesitated for a moment before once again she dipped her head. Somewhat stuttering for words, at first not knowing what to say, he ended up yelling out quite quickly. "Oh no! It's alright!" He then realized how loud he had actually spoke and took a moment to calm himself back down. "What I meant to say is... It's fine." He said, smiling a little bit then.

"And yes, I am across the borders. I 'aven't settled down for quite a while." He said before he lifted a paw and scratched at the horns on the top of his skull, his little cub like exterior not at all matching his movements and personality. "I've been alone as long as I can remember..." He paused for a moment before then readjusting himself. "I actually... I am." He said, before letting his eyes lift up to her once again before he let it flutter off and look around. "If this place is willing..."

Arkai watched him curiously, smiling at his peculiarities. Her eyes grew wide with excitement when he said he was from across the border and she almost bubbled over with questions but she bit her tongue to hold them back, already having asked too many it would've been rude to ask more. Her excitement fell slightly when he said he didn't remember having a family. "Aw... I can't even imagine what living alone would be like... I don't even know what I'd do without my Dad and Mum..." She shook her head, finding it impossible to even imagine.

She laughed lightly, "This place, is made for people like you. I was born here.... so its a little different for me but this place is where the Misfit Pride lives." She giggled. "Alpha Aurora made the pride for outcasts and loners who had no where else to go. That's how come my parents are here. They were all alone and now they have a huge family, thats not even related to them... and well me and my brothers." She smiled brightly. "You can live here too!"

[Lucine]

Akuma paused for a moment, thinking over what it might be like to actually live in a pride. He folded his ears back and his eyes became very distant for a moment, vaguely remembering what his old life used to be like, what he used to be like... He grumbled a little before lifting a paw and rubbing the side of his head a little. At her though saying that she was born in these lands brought him back to reality a little and he brought another smile to his maw. "It must 'ave been some upbringing." he said giving another small glance around the area.

To belong... he pondered that for a moment before then shrugging. "Oh why not. I suppose these ol' paws could use a lil' rest." He said, grinning a little and flicking his tail behind him. Maybe things wouldn't be to bad here... and maybe... he could even find the one to break this curse that held him bound to cub form.

Arkai bounced excitedly, glad he was going to stay, she loved meeting new friends. But what he said confused her... old paws? She pondered that her lower jaw shifting to the side a little but she was soon torn from her thoughts on that subject to those of another subject. "Which mark are you gonna choose?" She asked tilting her head to the side, and plopping her bum down on the rock because she was tired of standing. "There are five marks here, my dad is Rook of the West one, him and mom are like mini-alphas. So I live in the Hidden Kingdom," She smiled and nodded. "But there's also the East, North, South and Center to choose from." She really hoped he'd choose the West though, that way they could be best friends and she could see him all the time.

This had to be one of the oddest prides Akuma had ever heard of... marks? Never before had such a thing been mentioned in the same sentence with the word pride, but maybe this would be a good place to start, and hopefully get his life back together. He smiled before then lifting a paw and scratching the bit of immature goatee on his chin, pondering. "Marks you say?"

He lifted his eyes back up towards where Arkia was, and a small grin parted across his maw, his tail flipping behind him once again. He could see the anticipation in her eyes... and putting two and two together, who else couldn't see that she wanted him in the same mark as her? Possibly it couldn't hurt to have a friend, though of course it would be very difficult to explain his... situation to anyone. But maybe he could keep that a secret for now. "Well since I don't know my way around 'ere, and I seem to already 'ave a friend... Why don't I go to the Hidden Kingdom was it?" He questioned, smiling.
