Hitomi was at first at a loss of words... Taken aback by his, she hesitated before then stood to her four and walked forward, bumping foreheads with him and closing her eyes happily. A low, rumbling purr vibrated from her body as she let the touch linger. "Neo... Thank you... Thank you so much." She nuzzled her head into his and kept her eyes squeezed shut. "Neo, I never thought I'd find someone whom I cared about so quickly, and felt a pull in my heart to... But I was proven wrong." She snuffled some, tears threatening to fall from her eyes in just sheer joy and love to him. "I...I can't thank you enough for doing so." She said, hesitating once again before then lifting a paw and pulling him into a close hug, still in a bit of disbelief that this was all happening, but so happy that it was.

(Sorry for being so late and kinda short!)

He closed his eyes as well as she nuzzled him. The beast listened to her words, understanding every bit of what she had said, knowing the way she felt about him, as he felt the same. "I couldn't agree more, Hitomi...," then, listening to what she spoke next he added,"You have no need to thank me. Knowing you feel the same is thanks enough." As they embraced, the hybrid purred, a mix between a cat's lighter purr and a larger cat's deeper one. Softly, he whispered to her,"I believe this could lead one day to something more... Don't you? I'm not saying everything will line up for us right away, but... The future looks bright. And I want to be there with you, every step of the way, no matter how rough the road may get." Neo looked up, studying her lovely blue eyes, awaiting a reaction from her. "I would give you whatever you wanted, just say the word."

Hitomi smiled brightly as she sighed happily, just glad to be in his embrace... and to be close to someone who cared about her so, and how she felt the same of him. "I still have to thank you Neo... And I agree. Everything you said goes the same for you." She said purring still before she nuzzled her head into his again, just wanting to be as close to him as she could.

(Ugh... Forgot to post (and have a major writer's block)! DX)

He sighed, taking in her lovely scent. 'Hitomi... My Hitomi...,' he thought, his heart pounding with the sheer happiness and emotion he felt within him. She was sweeter than honey to him, her soft, black and white pelt rubbing against his own dark patterned fur. Every touch from her, every word from her lips, made him feel... Complete. As if she was the missing puzzle piece in his life. Was this love meant to be? Destined in the stars, or was it just love at first sight? Whatever it was, it took hold of his soul, making his heart flutter.

Hitomi continued to purr, loving to just be close to him, to have him all to herself. But she reluctantly pulled back from the embrace, smiling happily up towards him. "Well.. We shouldn't let our meals go to waste. Then after that we can figure out what we should do next." She gave a small shrug before turning and heading back to her kill, though she looked back towards him and brushed her tail by his face with a playful grin. Bounding over the wildibeast she hunkered down before tenderly munching a bit on her kill.

(Sorry I haven't replied. I had a lot of stuff going on... And I just broke up with my bf... Which makes me edgy on the whole romance thing... )

The beast returned her grin, replying,"Sounds good." He bit into his own prey, the gazelle. The heat had nearly drained out of it, but it still tasted delicious. He took large, slow bites, the chewed it in portions, carefully savoring his meal. While he did so, he glanced at Hitomi, his soul softening as he did so. The wind quietly buffeted the savanna grass, causing it to make a soft swishing noise, and as he ate, he wondered about the future... Where would they be in a year? Or maybe even 10? Would they feel this way? And most importantly, would they be together or separate? He cringed at these sour thoughts, not wanting to think about future flaws in his life. Neo only wanted to be with her and to be happy. Yet strange thoughts kept floating around in his mind... After devouring enough to fill his stomach, he spoke once more, trying to sound cheerful,"Well, milady, what shall we do now?"

[Lucine]

((Oh no! D: I'm so sorry. Take as long as you need to, there's no rush. I hope everything gets better for you! *hugs*))

Hitomi rested on her belly after she had finished eating her fill. Licking her chops clean she rested contently as he had eaten as well. Her eyes closed and she sighed heavily, happily... The feeling of being loved and having a full belly intoxicating. She rested there for a moment before at his voice her ears perked and she looked up towards him. She pondered for a moment before shrugging a bit. "What ever you would like to do, I'd be up for." She said, smiling happily up to him.

( I'm not very upset with the whole not seeing him, but the subject of romance is what throws me. Thanks, though. )

He gave her a grin as well. "Well, then, the sun is beginning to set. How about we watch the sunset, then afterward head back?" As he had entered the savanna from his escape, he had found that the sunset was one of his favorite things in the place, above all else. He settled down next her, then asked,"What do you think?"

Hitomi purred as she licked her chops clean and nodded, her tail flipping back and forth. She smiled before nodding, lifting her eyes to the sky. "That sounds fantastic..." She realized then that she had never taken the opportunity to watch the sun set like that, and she really looked forward to it. Wriggling her bum playfully she bounded a bit towards him. "Comeon!" She was excited... It was a fantastic feeling.

( I'll survive. >3 Thanks to House, NCIS, Fringe, and some regular gaming... Homework, too. )

Leaping up, he bounded happily after her, grinning the whole time. "Wait up!" he purred teasingly, as he knew he could go faster if he felt like it. His white paws stamped the terrain below as Neo ran with her, his tail flying in the rush of the wind. Not stopping to turn his head, he called,"This way!" Eventually, a familiar rock came into view. It was large and sloped, but was flat at the top, sitting at the border of the territory. He had passed this rock many times before, the first time when he came to the pride. The second while hunting.

The beast padded up the shallow slope that lead to the plateau-like stone. Flexing his paws, he turned, facing west, then lay himself gentle down on the rock. The sun had just begun to dip down toward the horizon, giving the sky a warm, yellow tinge. "Look, it's about to begin!"

Hitomi purred and grinned as she bounded off following Neo, her heavy paws thudding against the ground. However, her eyes lifted and she felt the warm tinge of the sun in front of her begin to vanish. She smiled and hurried behind him, her tail lifting high as she bounded off after him. "Hurry!" she grinned as she continued to run, seeing the sun begin to vanish.
