I know I'm going to attempt it again. And you guys will get updates. I'm trying to do some stuff for you guys anyway. So, I'll post it here. Brenna also is doing it. I was wondering if any of you guys are also thinking about doing NaNoWriMo this year.

Umm, HELLZ YEAAAA!
I did an article on it for my school's paper, so I think it makes sense that I do it as well. You did it last year, but you didn't make it?

That's still pretty impressive. Did you ever finish it later?

Actually I set the notebook I wrote it in on fire. The reason I didn't finish it was that I ahted the story.

Oo.... That works.

I attempted it last year. But I planned it out and realized I can only get about 30,000 words. So I've fiddled with it a few times earlier this year and changed it to try and reach the goal.

Dalik reminded me, so now I'm planning and trying to prepare myself for it... This is only my second attempt.

It you do the math, it's about 1600 words a day. And considering the fact that you're not necessarily trying to make it GOOD, it doesn't sound too difficult. Maybe you are though, but I just want to have fun with it. But easier said than done, huh?

I'm trying to write 12000 a week.

And I've decided I'm not doing my normal stuff. I'm writing a Romantic Comedy.

I started planning during class today. But I needed a change from my normal writing style, and I've always wanted to write a romantic comedy, and I wasn't able to in the past. Now, it shouldn't be to hard.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT?!?!??!?!?!!

National Novel Writing Month
It's an event hosted by the Office of Letters and Light (based in California) that challenges anyone at all to write a 50,000 word novel (even across the world---it's really Internation Novel Writing Month, but they this NaNoWriMo sounds better). Main rule---you can't start before the month of November, and you have to write the novel entirely in that month. You can have planning for the novel, but you can't start it until November. Once you're done, you submit it to the nanowrimo.org website (you have to join the forum first) to have your words counted. No prizes or anything, it's all for the lawlz and those that have always wanted to do something like this but felt the didn't have the time. One more thing, the novel isn't necessarily supposed to be GOOD...it just needs to be the finished result of the finest bullshit you can pull out of your crack.

nanowrimo.org--------->CHECK IT OUT RIGHT NOW, BIDGE!!!

Bai.

The point of NaNo WriMo isn't to make your story phenomonal or superb. It's to put yourself to the challenge of writing consistantly in large quantities seeing as many authors have problems doing that. 50,000 words is a lot, and I kinda find it hard to believe both of you broke 30k words and didn't bother posting it here for us to check it out wacko.gif .

So if you're all going to take on the challenge, don't go into it with high expectations of writing. Go into it with the objective of writing 50,000 words. You can ALWAYS go back and rewrite what you wrote. But you can't revise stuff you haven't written.

I didn't write 30k words. I wrote 11k. I just wrote an outline and esitmated how long I could make each chapter and it only got up to 30k words. By then I was behind and decided to try in a year, which is now.

Mine last year was the re-write of Guardians that I started. I was still revising it over the summer. And now it's on my other computer. And I know it's just to try and write consistently, but I don't want to write gibberish.. So, I'm still putting a ton of effort into planning for NaNoWriMo.
