NaNoWriMo 2009

I'm under the name of Dranon Alexander. I'll be writing the sequel to Windrake... Windrake's roughly approaching 90k words now. Rewriting that would be far too difficult. Although I don't think Terrartroll will be much easier to write. Hell I'll give it a go. I'll shoot for at least 10k words. Add me if you wish.

EDIT: Just wrote about 1069 words. I could do more easily, but I'm saving it.

I'm a bit behind. I've got less than 1000 words. But I'm planning on getting my Online stuff done tomorrow, so Thursday-Sunday is just writing. I don't have class. I've got it all planned out, I just need to have nothing else to work on, so I can do nothing but write.

I'm at about 1,000.

Doesn't look like I'll get futher at this point. I had a cold and that set me behind, but now I seem to be having hearing problems. Which is bad when you have 1 working ear.

But I'll work til I have to stop and go to the doctor.

I'll be writing all day tomorrow probably.

Everyone who's just using this as an excuse to get started, good on you. The whole idea isn't to follow the rules word-for-word and make sure to 'win', it's to get started on a novel that everyone in life is always too 'busy' for. In fact, I might start this one of the months later, since I missed out. Doesn't have to be November, you just don't get the honour of uploading it and seeing your Username up there.

I'd love to read some of the stuff you guys have done. When it's finished of course, if you all genuinely have written this much then I don't wanna get swamped.

According to my calculator, you'd have to write 1667 words every day. O__O Yeowzer!

Can you guys lemme know what your stories are about? I haven't been keeping up. Dalik, you're doing a Guardians rewrite? Jake, is it Terratroll? Surge, Celedeen, what're yours about?

Actually, mine is ABOUT Celedeen. I made her up, it's about time I got around to putting her story into words, eh?

I admit, it's rather dull and boring. I'll be polishing it off and such as the year ends to make it better.

Mine's called "A Little More Lightning" It's a romantic comedy. xD

Mine's "Foxhunt." Erotic fiction.
Okay not really. It's action or adventure or something. But I suppose the three are interchangeable.

That's all very nice one line descriptions but I still don't know what's going on in anyone's.

I'm seemingly not working on mine, but you pretty much know what goes on in Terrartroll. It centers around Chaka, Malem, Xyfar, and Dranon more than anyone. A lot of this book actually takes place on Earth rather than Lunap. But it's pretty much the usual fighting between Scryon and the Supporters fighting for ways to summon the elemental lord of Earth. god I suck

Oh, Sorry Danny. The reason I didn't say what was going on is because by 'polish' I mean 'give it a main plot'. Tons of little adventure stories of Celedeen meeting new people and family, doing random things and trying to prove what actually happened in history since it got all jumbled and screwed up which is causing a war.

It's a Romantic Comedy. With not too much comedy, there is some, but it's just about this guy, who falls in love. I'm trying to step away from my usual sarcastic sci-fi/fantasy type stuff.

Here's the synopsis of mine on the NaNoWriMo website:

A young man finds himself being hunted by a group referred to as "The Hunters." When he finds out that these people are chasing him, he realizes that he can't stay at home anymore---he has to run, run, and just keep running...and find ways to get these folk off his tail. He doesn't even know why he's being hunted, doesn't know what they want. But, through what's happened with them and his family, he has good reason to believe that they mean harm to him. But he hardly has time to think about "why."
All he can do is run.

Better =D Is it set in the future then or an alternate reality?

Being able to branch off of one genre is very good, most writers get caught in writing the same style for their whole life. Got any characters?

Is this what you based your work off that you posted on here? (Commented on that by the way) That's going to be one tense novel xDDD

I've got some, but it's just vague ideas. I've given up on getting to 50000 before the end of the month. Because I'm spending a lot of time trying to figure out my characters before I actually really get into it. Sad thing is, I still haven't named my main character...
