Logo/Mascot Contest!, Runs Thru September 20th, 2008| Twikite |

Yes, it's finally a go! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with o Sept. 20th!
But first! A few details: 1. This is a design contest for UNM Anime Club's new logo. 2. The contest will run between the dates of 9/6/08 and 9/20/08. 3. Entries can be submitted online, to the club offices (SUB 1049) or mailbox (SAC 56), or in-person to one of the officers. 4. There will be a club vote for the best logo during September 20th's meeting. 5. The entry selected will become UNM Anime Club's official icon, and the winning artist will be awarded a $25 Right Stuf! gift certificate. Now for the finer details: a. One entry per person. b. Entries must reflect original design. No straight-up fan art. c. Entries must contain nothing sexually or violently explicit, or otherwise offensive. d. Entries can be in the form of whatever medium you prefer, physical or digital. e. By submitting an entry, you grant UNM Anime Club the right to use and publish it without express permission. Running close to the deadline and we've only received a scant few entries. If anyone's working on a logo for the contest and holding onto it until Saturday, could you maybe post your intent to submit so that I know we won't have a coin-toss decision?
I'd hate to have to extend the deadline for lack of participation. -------------------- Justin D Brough

I have a logo done and a mascot in the works, I'll try to email them to you but otherwise I'll just bring them in on Saturday.

Be patient, I bet most people have (including myself) interpreted the deadline as turn them in on Saturday.

Well, I don't think there were any shoe-ins. I was super pleased to see so many quality entries. I'm sure there was a lot of thought and work put in by those entering, and it really showed, so kudos to everyone!
 I appreciate very much those who voted for my submission, but thanks even more to everyone who participated. Totally cool to see the club's talent, and I hope we have more creative activities/contests in the future.  |
